For tolbunt eggs, I'd take vacation and meet you North Dakota/Minnesota/Manitoba. border....and swing by my sister's place, see the new baby (due any day), leave half the eggs with her, and incubate them. However, I have to do 3 weeks out. Or meet halfway on below the Lakes route
:goodpost:
I feel a plan shaping up here.
And remember I freely confessed to driving nearly 7 hours for chicks so a Manitoba border meeting seems perfectly fine as an idea.

Looking at Google maps, @Ponypoor going through Sault Ste. Marie and the Northern peninsula would be the shortest route with a meeting place somewhere in Minnesota.....but would be a roughly 15 hour drive one way for both of us. Somehow, I don't see that happening (at least with out some serious planning for some time next year). Now, if she landed another job in the Canadian Rockies....

15 hrs?! 😆

24hrs driving straight through, or 2 days. It’s 9 hrs for me to get to Wawa!

Working in the West…. The hunt is on….

I will have to cancel this dentist. I've come down with a wretched cold. Nose throat and headache from hell so i haven't slept. I'll call as,soon as they are open. Walk and feed Nancy and Oliver the grump 😾

Then I'm staying home. It started with the shivering then hot. Strange because I was in bed at the time.

I was brow beaten into contacting the person, could get eggs next week if I wanted.

Not to worry I’ll get them to you 😆👍

Marie - how are you feeling?

It’s the smoke from wild fires here causing issues with allergies and asthma in people.

And my chooks too, the older ladies are not very keen to go outside with the hazy smoke.

Are you in any immediate danger from the wildfires (beyond the smoke, I mean.) We had friends move here from the North Bay area in California after several years of too-close fires.

Yeah. 15 hours is a long way. I think I would have done 8, but that is probably my limit.

In that crossing, running from Barrie to Butte (nearish you, nearish me), half way is some tiny town in Minnesota, and is about 15 hours as the whole thing is about 30 hours. Not something either of us wants to do without more planning, so...
