Are you sure?Look at the saddle feathers. They're old enough that the pointy cascade is showing. The other is, I think, a moulting tail feather as most of the rest are growing in under it. That one's a pullet.

Sorry to hogSo sorry Marie. I know she was family to you. She was such a sweet hen. She was up there in age but you loved her obviously!
No words can describe the feeling of loss and possibly guilt you are feeling, I know you Marie. You probably think that you shouldn’t have left her there at the sanctuary, but as I consoled you before, you did right by Princess. Giving her other friends she could enjoy in her final days of life. You did right, so never forget that!
Sweetheart, anything less would be selfish of you. IMHO.
You could always come live with me. (Plenty of room and lots of other chickens to love) just saying.
My Princess passed away last night. She was fine yesterday but was found dead this morning.
It's believed she had a heart attack. Crying![]()

What did you come home with?
Thank you so much
She was born April 2018. I didn't have a day. I really thought she'd have survived longer where she was.
Bet you can’t say that without spitting!
Mr.Chippy took blueberries from my hand today!
I need to get more blueberries - everyone had a feast!
