Took Coco back to the coop, she didn’t mind at all, but then I saw poor Nacho trying to babysit her one and only chick. Her eye has been pecked out in a fight. I decided to bring them both inside. Mama and baby are now resting comfortably on my bed with me. I can’t believe chickens can be so cruel as to peck an opponents eye out. This little one is just way cute!
On the other hand; I can’t find the other two missing chicks anywhere on my side of the fence.
I hope Nacho and her un-named baby enjoy John Denver music, because that’s what I prefer today.

Chickens entertain, they make us happy, sad , and various emotions. Maybe that’s just what God intended us to feel ?
Maybe that’s why chooks have individual personalities. Maybe I should just go Vegan? Oh no those poor innocent vegetables, not knowing their live would literally be cut short, just to feed the evil minimum human populous.

I can’t seem to get a good picture but Mr. Chips is developing bright green feathers in his tail and some around his shoulders.
They are much brighter green than these picture show.

Well now, those big whales are curious and don’t know their size, they’ve been known to bump and flip small boats!

Do you have enough feather fixer to go around for your gang? He is such a beauty.

No feather fixer up here. We only get basic layer (crumb or shortcut pellet oh and textured), and starter and grower. About 4 different manufacturers ie: Purina, Sharpes, Master Feeds, and another. Remember we don’t have to same number of people up here with chooks

It’s economics 101 supply and demand. But it’s nice to see more municipalities allowing hens to be kept in town. I know the local town here has a petition out for keeping 5 hens - we’ll see how that goes…

Maybe flat booties & tylenol for pain to straighten those feet. Not sure how much effort or time you have to do that before the handicap grows permanent? Poor sweetie

I'm going to see if I can 3d print some boots for her. I need to fix my big printer yet again these darn hi-tech devices are killing me!
She's had a great appetite today, she definitely ate her share or more of the cat food. Tomorrow I'm scrambling up a double yolker with some poultry b vitamin for her. Snowball is loving the pampered life too, she even let me stroke her wing earlier.
