Yes! I really wanted a Little Mill. Instead I am going to get a very big boy!
Mera is squarely in the middle for size here. He may not be as large as the standard dictates. As active as my lot are, they don't get to be on the large end. Even Castor at the vet only weighed in at about 9 pounds. He's solid muscle, but not large by cat standards.

Your Princesses are pretty active, so I would predict Mr Chips will be on the low end of the Speckled Sussex rooster sizes.

We will see. He is in the middle of a growth spurt and has become very tall all of a sudden! He stretches his head up to the same level as his Mom - which is convenient for taking food from her beak!
She still treats him like a fragile little chick. Hilarious!
Here she is supervising mid-morning nap time.

On the subject of Cookie’s ability to see, she appears to be able to see in the dark!

And I keep trying to get a head on look - this is the closest I have got so far. I don’t think a trim is urgent right now.

Only Cookie is not yet heavy enough to use the rat proof feeder properly. The other three are already total pros.

Again... I have no roo or Mama hen experience ... because of that I would proceed w/ caution wearing a pair of safety 👓 glasses/goggles not knowing what a bird will do. Ponypoor says the rascals love to curiously target eyeballs.
Also no roo or Mama hen experience - or much of any experience for that matter. However, I think this is solid advice. I was leaning over to do something in the chicken run one time and my sweet BO jumped up and sharply nipped me right below the eyebrow. It hurt, it bled - and I think she was just being curious. I'm more careful of them getting right in my space after googling chickens and eye injuries. It's a real thing. Your eyes are shiny.

Oh she is a darling! I love her beard and muffs and her funky topknot! She reminds me so much of Muffy here.

Yup, and apparently tasty too! Then there is the fact an eye doctor will laugh and say ‘haven’t heard that one before’!

Ear rings also, oh a Diamond rings…. That’s how my friend list the stone I’m her engagement ring…..

Yup. From that view it looks like she can see forward. I would not trim yet.

You know, I sent a letter to the Kremlin in Moscow. I asked kindly if they would add some vowels to the language. No response. :idunno
I took a semester of Russian a little more than half a century ago.

All I can remember now is я студентка (pronounced ya studentka, I am a [female] student, and хулиган (khuligan, hooligan), which is a most satisfactory word to say, involving an impressive amount of throat-clearing phlegm for the initial consonant.
