The Polish and Silkie chicks are terrors, they are into everything! They run amok here zipping around digging up everything!

Meanwhile those Noirans have a totally relaxed outlook - sunbathing is the way to go. Yep I am definitely in camp Noirans…. 😉
Noirans have marans in their heritage right?

Calm, relaxed and gentle, that is all Marans in my experience.

Homer does have both silkie and polish behind him thanks to George. He is pulling nothing from those gene's. This boy looks like a Marans and acts like a Marans in his temperment.

Juice, well, Juice is spunky. He is Polish, silkie and Buff Orp mix and he shows it.

Ooooo pretty girl! Love that funky topknot!
I prefer the ones that don't need to be trimmed, myself! She's a funny wee thing; she's had the posture of a runner duck ever since she hatched.

Twofers / trim tax:
Two new girls are starting to settle in a bit, I think. They're very shy.

These two definitely aren't shy. I bent a docken stem out of the way to take a photo and they came straight over for the seeds.

We have those plants here, I will gather them for the kiddos and see if they eat the seeds.

I had Dakota and Mr Wyandottey loaded securely into Marie, when Paul said I have an important phone call. (I had already shut my phone off) it was my neighbor lady in an emergency. I give my number to all my people. She had trouble breathing and I guess I was her 911. Shes in hospital now , I’m on my way to Bakersfield (driving) why waste expensive AGass it’s only an hour drive time from my airport anyway. I gave paul a special before Christmas bonu$ he’s been restoring a 66 mustang I gave him a lot of monies to help him.

Sure hope Mr W is fine. Keep us posted.

Those stripes are mesmerizing!

Oh I left them to it. No way am I getting birds out of trees. That's on them 😆
They sound so cute/tame... & apparently they're useful little buggers... I love useful tame farm animals/birds other than just using them as a food source. The keets are also very pretty~ until I saw yours I wasn't aware of all their color varieties. Do you know if they are male or female?

I know I have one male, based on the "kerchunk" vs "keeee" sounds. Males only call one syllable. Based on wattles it might be Ghast, but I've read that wattles aren't an indicator of gender so...dunno.
