I do this all the time. The big run is 5 feet high because of how I had to fit it around the birch tree. I'm 5 foot 8 inches tall. I bang my head on the cross beam in the middle and the door frame all the time.

2 nights ago I was putting Niamh to bed. She was perched on my arm and I hit my head on the door frame. I saw stars.

Fortunately I've done it so many times I didn't even flinch. Niamh never knew.

Good grief! That’s just terrible! We’re you wearing a ball cap? I am always banging my head on the garage door due to the peak on the ball cap impeding my vision upwards. Owwww!

Tonight, Mačor's sleeping position is this, but it's bound to change.

If you take away the blanket from him, he will try to play tug of war with you and claw at it because he really wants it.

My mother put a sheet where he was laying to avoid a mess of cat hair but Mačor went to eat and after that, he decided to sleep on the couch where my father usually sits at. I transferred him, afraid he was going to bite me or scratch me, to where my mother laid out the sheet because I already know what my father will say if I tell him the cat slept on his bed. Sorry, Mačor. Maybe we have to set up the sheet on Father's couch as well.

You know, my Mom decades ago bought yards of Christmas wrap that lasted 10 yrs before it got used up... but just like Mrs Bob's paper it will pass as birthday wrap too. Family members or close friends should know your love for hens very well by now & who probably don't care if wrap has snowflakes or a chicken adorned in a Christmas hat?

We bought up comic heroes paper in the past & wrapped Christmas, graduation, & birthday gifts w/it till it got used up. Kids & adults loved the humor.

Silver is wheezing/breathing odd. This braying sort of breathing is what I dealt with when the gang initially where ill - at least she isn’t gasping, just breathing odd. I initially thought she was Patches but no it’s Silver who is just finishing moulting.

I have to duck to get into/out of the coop, or I hit my head on the door frame. I got in the habit of gripping the crosspiece of the frame. That serves two purposes: It aids my balance and keeps me from hitting my head.

I'm always bashing my head on the tall coop crossbeams, the doors, everything. Hubby says I need to wear a pompom hat like old sailors did on boats, that way the pom will help protect me.

That’s right. The pompom was there so that they would feel it brushing the doorways so they knew they were ducking low enough so as not to crack you head on them.

Otherwise ‘crack’! And then some swearing, and laughing (on the part of the others), hahaha!

What you need is a bump hat, like mini hard hats
