Pop quiz, boys and girls. ....a long, rectangular pastry made of yeast doughnut dough that has been cooked (fried) and covered with maple icing. ...what is it called? Where did you learn that name (region)? Got curios as it has a totally different name out here than it does back home
I dont know if i should laugh or cry. definitely traumatized. For those of you that dont know what a possum stomping party is (like me) , I will tell you.I have 3 barn cats, one of them a sneaky little Siamese . I was in the barn feeding the chicks (where i found my dead EEs a week ago) and the cat was rubbing up against my legs. absent minded as normal, I reached down to pet him only it was NOT him. yup, a possum ! right between my legsFor once i just wish something like that would happen when i dont have eggs in my hand. may they RIP. My husband came outside, I dont know how he knew ? all the screaming maybe? He picked up a stick and i said "dont you dare" even playing dead it would be faster then him .you know, if we needed to run or something. So i called my friend and she hollers to her husband,"possum stomping party!" and "we are on our way" . So , here i am thinking the house isnt clean, what am i going to serve, this is short notice for a party. LOL Well, my friends, A possum stomping is exactly what it says and I am delightfully disgusted.![]()
Great! It has helpful info on just about everything!Edit to add: such a good page with so many other helpful links! I was having trouble with "down" also (with both dogs) so now I've got some new direction. We'll work on it today!
Totally agree! Prefer a prong collar actually. Scooter showed up with either a damaged or overly sensitive trachea (?), any pressure at all on his throat causes him to hack and cough. Sounds like you're killing him just to go for a walk. Prong collar is the only thing that works for him. Even tried a harness and he goes out of control crazy pulling with that. I would rather endure the withering glares of disapproval than not be able to walk the dog.Prong collars are not supposed to impale your dog and choke collars are not supposed to cut off their air supply. They are a gentle reminder for people with no strength.
That is called a maple bar out here. I know this because my hubs does the drooling Homer Simpson ...maaaple baars... imitation every time he sees them.Pop quiz, boys and girls. ....a long, rectangular pastry made of yeast doughnut dough that has been cooked (fried) and covered with maple icing. ...what is it called? Look for "nested quotes" in your preferences. That will quote an entire post of previous quotes and responses. Is that what you want?
