Hello all!

I wanted to start a chat thread to meat some new peeps on the forum and hang out with some I already know.

So just introduce yourself, you don't have to say your real name if you don't want to, and maybe share something about yourself. What kind of poultry you have, your hobbies etc.

Everyone is welcome here.

I sometimes don't like joining chat threads if there is millions of pages already and I don't feel like reading all of them. If you get to this thread and there are tons of pages, don't worry. You can just go to the newest page and post your introduction. You don't have to have been here from the beginning.

We can discuss anything on this chat thread but please try to keep things appropriate for all ages. Don't swear, post inappropriate pictures, you know. Don't do anything against BYC rules.

So, about me:
My name is Annalise, I live in central Maine and I raise chickens, a cow (and a calf), sheep, pigs and broilers/meatbirds, and Coturnix quail with my family. I have two cats, and a pet rat (used to have two RIP Melissa) I am vegetarian but the rest of my family is not.

So welcome to the chat thread. Again everyone is welcome. You don't have to be here from the beginning.

Alright so I’m cleoandtheflock I have chickens which include Easter eggers, a columbian rock, a white red laced Cornish, and lots of d’uccles
(Goldneck, silver columbian, Mille fleur d’uccles)

All of my chickens are pets but I show some at poultry shows

I live in Ohio and have some Sapphire Gems and some turkeys for a 4-H project. I live on a hog farm that also has a couple cows.
I also totally agree that joining a chat thread that has several thousand replies already is a bit overwhelming.

I'm Nancy and have a third of an acre of weeds mainly dandelions, that have taken over most of the yard. So much for the effects of Roundup. My doctor said NOT to use any more.

Can't afford any animal/pets and pay for my health insurance. so

But like to read and hear about everyone one else's interests.

Yay! If you don't mind sharing, what are your beliefs etc about being vegetarian? You totally don't have to share if you don't want to.
I am vegetarian because I didn't (don't) like that animals had to give their lives for me when I can survive perfectly fine without killing them.

I am not

Thats ok! No one else in my family is. I hang out with people who are not vegetarian all the time. I don't care if people are not, thats just what I want for my self.

I don’t think animals should be killed for me to eat and I do just fine without eating them
But it’s fine if people do I know plenty who do eat animals and I get along well with them

Hi everyone! Just call me @cluckmecoop7!

I have two pet betta fish and 6 pet chickens. I am not a vegetarian right now but I want to be one. I like to take care of my pets and spend time with them a lot! I also enjoy drawing. I am not very good yet, but....I still draw. I like to draw mostly chickens, pigs, ducks, cows, etc. You can see, I like to draw animals, mostly farm animals.
