Ok ill make sure the kids handle him when they are over and make sure they aren't scared of him.

I don't think the Light Sussex is a Cockerel anymore.

Some of my are like that too but I still grab them up and interact with them, showing them that biting and jumping on me isn't going to change how I interact with them

I lost my protector of my flock yesterday We woke up to him having a hard time breathing and pretty cold, rushed him to the vet to find out his heart had a defect we didn't know about and it had ruptured. He was only 6 yrs old.View attachment 1539334

Omg! Love im so so so sorry! He was absolutely beautiful and a great protector. Are you ok?
Im in shock love. I couldn't imagine how your feeling.

Yes it's very aggravating.. We have possums and hawks that we have to watch for every day here.
