My hens tongue is through the skin under her beak

How is she doing?

If you can get anyone to see her, then you may have to remove the scab and see if you can loosen the tongue and push it back through. She's not able to stay hydrated or eat, so at some point you will at least need to tube fluids and food into her. https://www.backyardchickens.com/articles/crop-feeding.75454/

I cannot find the thread but someone else had a similar issue within the last year. I can't remember if a vet fixed it or if they had to do it themselves.
@Eggcessive do you remember? I thought I saved the thread, but not!

I agree with keeping the tongue moist - use whatever you can. Oil, chapstick, vaseline, honey - all those sound fine to me.
She is acting normal but her tongue is now infected and her mouth is pale pink and there is a yellow pus spot where her tongue is poked through inside her mouth. I’ve tried to get any vet to take a look atleast but no one will do anything. I’ve tried to get antibiotics and some medicine to put in her water but they don’t sell antibiotics due to people using them for themselves. So I have got a syringe and will use 2 separate ones for food and water. Thank you

Ouch, poor baby! I agree with the others that you need to keep it moist.
I wish I had more suggestions, but if you can moisten it enough to make wiggle it back in that would probably work.
Your definitely gonna have to tube feed, I would use @Wyorp Rock's advice.

Ps. How old is this bird? It also appears that you have a rooster, I believe I see pointed hackle feathers, and that comb and face are screaming cockerel. :)
Thank you I’m trying to figure out what I can do! She is only about 1 year and 2 months. I thought she was a rooster when she started growing up but then she started laying eggs haha

I would follow @Wyorp Rock ’s advice to get the tongue back up into the beak. An injury piercing the bottom of the beak probably has happened. These holes will heal, but the tongue should be moved back into the beak. If the tongue has dried out it may be shortened, but i would work on getting it loose. Let us know what happens.
Hey! So I’ve got some syringes to food and water here, I will put some molasses in her water and get some of that chicken water mix to put in as well. Her tongue is completely dried and now it’s infected but no one will sell me antibiotics or medicine for chickens. It won’t move at all, I’ve been putting honey on it so far :(

My year and 2 month old hen has a injury. This has never happened to me before and I tried to research about it, I didn’t get much help. Her tongue pierced through the soft skin under her beak in between her 2 small wattles. The end that is poking out is hard and will not move at all. I tried to gently push it back in but it won’t budge. I opened her mouth and tried to pull it back into her mouth that way and it wouldn’t budge and she started getting uncomfortable and squawking. I’ve tried calling about 20 veterinary hospitals and none of them could help me. I am very fond of my chickens and to see our oldest pass away would be heart breaking. Please help! I will post a photo soon as possible
This is her poop, very green and small. She hasn’t become lethargic at all and desperately tries to drink and eat. I’ve separated her from the flock because she now has an infection on the inside of her mouth where the tongue is going through

Not being harsh here - it looks like you have 2 options. Try to correct it yourself or put her down since there's infection. It will just get worse.

If you want to try to fix it yourself, then get us more photos.
What state do you live in? Sometimes you can get antibiotics at TSC depending on where you are. They can be ordered online too, but this will take a few days to get them.

I find that fluoride free toothpaste is a life saver in soothing and getting rid of cancer sores. Not sure if that is safe for chickens, or affective for this issue, but thought I'd mention it at least.
Can you get pictures of the "infected area" if possible?

Ps. You can get fish antibiotics on Amazon and Chewy. Not sure which would be most affective here but one has to work.
