My meal worms are in a bedding of chicken starter/grower feed. No joke. We put half a potato in for moisture, and replace them when they are dried up.

That's kinda like, some convoluted circle of life, lol!

I suggest not putting coconut oil on. Touching frostbit skin only inflames and irritates it, reducing any already minuscule chance it has for healing. I do nothing for my frostbite cases, and trust me, I've had lots, lol.

I don't do the coconut oil everyday. Just when I think they are looking dry. It seemed to work wonders on Captain. When his waddles peeled they didn't bleed or anything. The skin sort of fell off.

Thanks guys. Just hoping to save enough pullets to keep the cockerel busy. But no telling. I have used a small fortune in meds trying to make them better.
