I found plastic and styrofoam and other things in their gizzards todayI go through about 100 pounds of OS per year with my birds. It's $7 for 50# at the co-op. I go through about 200 pounds of grit, which is $19 for 50# bag in a year. Yet, when I harvest birds, they have grit way bigger than I buy in their gizzards.

I have over 12 dozen eggs and have been eating 10 a day.. selling 4 dozen last week...should be 5 dz sold this week.. 20 eggs today and they are not all laying yet

So much fun ahead!


what breed?Wanted to ask the group about this before I put it to the BYC community.
Our taterholes have looked *odd* since birth.... and, now, they are feathering in weirdly. They almost look BALD in some places..... or they have an elongated feather shaft.

They are going on 5 weeks old, so they should all be fully feathered by now yes? Some are still fuzzy. It's the damndest thing!
