One of Xenas Nuggets laid an egg yesterday! I'll take a picture of it tomorrow.

I go through about 100 pounds of OS per year with my birds. It's $7 for 50# at the co-op. I go through about 200 pounds of grit, which is $19 for 50# bag in a year. Yet, when I harvest birds, they have grit way bigger than I buy in their gizzards.

I found plastic and styrofoam and other things in their gizzards today

I kept all the pullets I hatched wanted to make sure I didn't lose any over winter before I sell any
I have over 12 dozen eggs and have been eating 10 a day.. selling 4 dozen last week...should be 5 dz sold this week.. 20 eggs today and they are not all laying yet

Wanted to ask the group about this before I put it to the BYC community.

Our taterholes have looked *odd* since birth.... and, now, they are feathering in weirdly. They almost look BALD in some places..... or they have an elongated feather shaft.

They are going on 5 weeks old, so they should all be fully feathered by now yes? Some are still fuzzy. It's the damndest thing!

what breed?
My Cx mixes grow so fast that the feathers can't keep up.

Your dinner sounds Superbowl worthy to me!!

Hubby is cooking tonight. Meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and a veggie.......likely broccoli.

That is really odd feathering. Maybe a genetic thing BUT I doubt that since they have different parents.
