It's on the Peacock. It's a tearjerker of a family drama (which I never watch stuff like that, but it's frickin' frackin' amazing) about a dysfunctional family (really, whose isn't?!) in the 70's. The dad is, like, superdad, the mom is Mandy Moore (perfect in every way), they have twins and adopt a third, the dad is known to be killed off immediately (no spoiler there), and you spend the next year and a half watching the remaining family reconcile their past with their present, 20 years in the future.

It's sheer manipulative genius, you are guaranteed to burn through Kleenex every single Tuesday night.

And the Super Bowl viewing was the Big Reveal (I AM NOT GONNA BE A SPOILING DICTATER, fear not!!!!) I bet Joe 5 dollars that he would cry, for once. He's a maaaaannlly man, my little Italian Stallion. He lost.

Oh girl.

You watch the first one, you will be hooked. It's like...sweet sugar candy corn TV crack.

No lie, it is as addicting as Breaking Bad. I don't even normally watch network TV at all (you know, cuz it's PG and all, and because....it's network TV) but it is a true testament to gorgeous writing and beautiful acting. I don't follow Emmys or any of that stuff, but I'm sure it was nominated for, and won, a taterload of em. That show is guaranteed to crack your heart wide open and bleed you dry every Tuesday. It's so predictable I almost can't stand it.

But then again, I cry over Sarah McLaughlin commercials and roadkill possums. So perhaps I am just hypersensitive.

Rae, do you cry weekly? Cuz I picture you as this big strong redheaded warrior woman who skins her own chickens and makes pelts of them, lol. But I bet you cry. At least occasionally, on Tuesdays.

A couple minutes ago, I caught two cupped handfuls of toddler puke! The Milk Drinker was on my lap eating lunch and took an overly large bite. He worked on it for about a minute before he gagged on it. I caught all but a quarter sized dallop that got on my leg. Yay me!

You know I am not a sheeple. It's an amazing show though. It covers everything. Life, death, love, loss, beauty, pain, addiction, eating disorders, not feeling good enough, adoption, race, the whole enchilada. The only thing missing?

Chickens. That's about it.

Sterling K. Brown (phenomenal, and the lady that plays his wife and kids, oh god), the adopted black sibling triplet in a white family. The old dude that played his birth father.

The fantabulous Big, Beautiful, Chrissy Metz, in all her glory.

OMG. The Manny! And Jack. And Rebecca.

Smuv. If you watched it, you would cry your merciless little black heart out, like a little baby squeeing, sobbing fangirl. Guaranteed.

OK, so this is totally OT (mashed potaters!!!)

But someone was asking about a pickled egg recipe, like 800 posts ago.

I have all these little bantam eggs now--way too many--so three days ago for the first time in my life I made pickles. Pickled Sriracha eggs. It was like the easiest recipe ever. And I just ate three of them (never ate a pickled egg in my life before). And OMG, I will NEVER be without them, ever again. It is that good. Enjoy.
