Been watching since day one.

Kiki, no. I never could watch medical shows. Or animal shows (like Animal Planet). Because it's what I do/did for a living, and to me, it's not escapism, if that makes sense, lol.

For years I was hooked on all the CSI shows, all that true crime stuff (I still love it but my hubby won't watch any of that because his ex-wife watched it incessantly and he hates it). Because it's completely different than what I do IRL. I know there's some killer medical shows out there, it's just....I turn on the tube, I want to watch some washed-up chemistry teacher with lung cancer turn into the most ruthless druglord in the history of mankind.

Or people stabbing zombies in the head.

Or Harry Potter.

Last night, I watched Cash Cab. And the night before that, The Conversation and Taxi Driver. Now that is an eclectic, freakish mix, lol. But no, no medical shows, and I've never seen Pit Bulls and Parolees, lol.

/Getting off my arse, gotta kill some mice now.

Cuz Macho Man is terrified of dead animals (he has a phobia, I'm not kidding) and he won't do it. So I gotta go up in the attic and set some traps. I really do love rodents (and I used to treat em when I was a vet) but I just can't abide by mouse crap/pee in the house, cuz that stuff spreads Hantavirus and Lepto and crap. Ugh. Time to get ruthless!

AHA I actually have that channel.
Maybe I will see if I can watch from the beginning.

What's great about it is that you will see the clearest reflection of YOURSELF in at least one of the characters, or at the very least, components of yourself within all of them. The writing has been almost flawless and the ensemble cast is believable as a family.

Predictably, some immature dudes started making crude jokes about it. They wouldn't listen when people asked them to stop, and they didn't care that some people looked like they were about to cry, including my best friend.

When you mess with my friends, I get angry.

I told them they needed to stop, because some people were having a hard enough time with this already.

They said "It's satire, it's supposed to be funny."

Just because it is satire doesn't mean it's funny!

They then accused me of being passive aggressive.

I guess I need to practice being aggressive more often, because in no way was I being passive.
