Not having the best day right now.

Predictably, some immature dudes started making crude jokes about it. They wouldn't listen when people asked them to stop, and they didn't care that some people looked like they were about to cry, including my best friend.

When you mess with my friends, I get angry.

I told them they needed to stop, because some people were having a hard enough time with this already.

They said "It's satire, it's supposed to be funny."

Just because it is satire doesn't mean it's funny!

They then accused me of being passive aggressive.

I guess I need to practice being aggressive more often, because in no way was I being passive.

Two things stick in my mind.
First the teacher needs to understand that that particular reading was inappropriate.

Two.... A newborn is 12 pounds????? What the tater?!?!

Because it is a beautiful show! Full of wisdom, love, insight, humanity. And humor, on occasion.

But it does have pain. Like life.

And, it's good entertainment. And a distraction. And, it's fiction (I stopped watching or listening to the news some time ago, because it made me too sad).

That's all. I watch stupid-funny stuff sometimes (hubby is a huge Adam Sandler fan, lol). Like the Wedding Crashers, the Hangover, ya know?

Guess the short answer is: Cuz it is just great TV. Like Breaking Bad. Flawless.

I watch it on Hulu. I don't have TV.

Pantry. It's the only room that is kept at a steady temperature AND the only room the animals *aren't allowed* in..... I learned last night that SOMETIMES the DH would let his *battle buddies* in the room with him while he dressed for work. (Pantry is currently half pantry and half his military dressing room). That tatering tater stops NOW.

PS. The animals are his *battle buddies*... does that make me the Commander or the Enemy?!?!?

@TexasSam I did some research and 24 jumbo egg cartons in a copy paper box is roughly $12 to ship FedEx. That makes them the same price as buying new.

Dang I guess I will stand on a street corner and panhandle for egg cartons

I tell people if they do not bring an egg carton it is .50 more a dozen and people I know that want to buy store eggs save cartons for me... They want cheap washed eggs.. go figure.

Kiki, no. I never could watch medical shows. Or animal shows (like Animal Planet). Because it's what I do/did for a living, and to me, it's not escapism, if that makes sense, lol.

For years I was hooked on all the CSI shows, all that true crime stuff (I still love it but my hubby won't watch any of that because his ex-wife watched it incessantly and he hates it). Because it's completely different than what I do IRL. I know there's some killer medical shows out there, it's just....I turn on the tube, I want to watch some washed-up chemistry teacher with lung cancer turn into the most ruthless druglord in the history of mankind.

Or people stabbing zombies in the head.

Or Harry Potter.

Last night, I watched Cash Cab. And the night before that, The Conversation and Taxi Driver. Now that is an eclectic, freakish mix, lol. But no, no medical shows, and I've never seen Pit Bulls and Parolees, lol.

I just checked...
I can go back and start with the first episode of season two but my thingie doesn't have season one.
