How often have you used it? During what seasons? What have you cooked?
Last time I used it, was in the dead of winter. Power was out for a couple weeks. I pretty much cooked what ever would normally get cooked on the stove or oven. After propane ran out, I used it and the rocket stove for all my cooking.

It's a 5x10x6 thing. Still not sure what we *need* it fer, but it twas ON SALE!!!!
The one I was looking at isn't even showing up online anymore, but it was like 7x8. I was all excited until I saw how small it was for the price. Yours was a much better deal. I dream of the day when I can WALK into the run which is what caught my attention w/ the one I saw. Doesn't help if it's smaller than what I already have though. [side note: the 'that's insane' was for the cost of delivery]

Does that happen often where you live?
I don't have a good history for our new place, that was a rare event back in VA. Someone got carried away on ice and took out a bunch of poles. I bought it for camping, thought it would be cool to start dinner and go fishing, quickly learned that little bandits with opposing thumbs can open it. So no more unsupervised cooking.

Sneaky little raccoons. Hopefully it was a one time thing, but it's good to know you could survive at least a week w/o power.

I am sitting in the run trying to become an honorary flock member. I can tell the other cockerls voices have changed, but the white cochin is the only one that crows. I guess he is in charge right now.
I did that today. I was watching them check out the solar heater. I put shavings and scratch in the bottom near the pop door. They are wary:

Then one brave pullet went in and jammed herself in near the shelf before i could get a picture , she ran out. Then another one stuck her head in to get some scratch.

After that she and several others went in.

But so far i have not seen them drink so i put a big chunk of raw pumpkin on the shelf the waterer is on. Last trip past there i saw a pullet pecking at the pumpkin!
