Official Squatch Watchers

@Smuvers Farm I'll help you kick that person in the taters, 30+ replies, and only you and one other person suggested anything but killing it. Granted, there were 2 posts informing the person that the cat was only the visible predator so far, but that there are other urban predators that can get to the flock.

@CapricornFarm
Weeeeee! I told hubby i am building an incubator and he didn't comment!
He knows it's too late :lau

THANK YOU... but seriously?!?! I can't believe NO ONE suggested anything other than SURE, shoot the cat! That a ridiculous first choice. In what city or state is there NOT an SPCA or pound or something?! :smack all of them

A few years ago here was a Texas vet who shot and killed a feral cat with a bow and arrow then bragged about it (with pictures) on FB.
Well, it wasn't a feral cat. It belonged to her neighbour. Who of course was devastated. She ended up losing her license for a year with probation for four more.
Why if it's in a city people automatically think it's a feral cat I don't understand. Growing up I lived in a fairly rural area (nursery country) and we never assumed the cat wasn't someone's pet.

People can be so heartless and selfish. If that person shoots the cat another will take it's place.

Hmm, how about a broccoli cheddar quiche, sausage and egg fried rice, gluten and dairy free French toast, cinnamon spice glazed peaches and applesauce. Then we can add some assorted pastries, bagels and English muffins.

Coffee and hot water, of course, and Castro's juices, cashew milk and regular cow's milk.

@Smuvers Farm you're an awesome sous chef, and you do an excellent job of working with chickens roaming the kitchen. They definitely liked the nibblets you were giving them from the quiche.

Okie dokie, breakfast is done, and I'm headed off to bed, gotta drive in 5 hrs.

Yeah, I read all about that.... kind of where the 3 S's that one BYCer commented about... shoot, shovel, shutup.

Having said that, we HAVE killed 2 opossums that had been attacking our chickens. That WAS our first and only choice.

1. We have no forest rangers or wildlife personnel to come get them.

2. We can't relocate them, as they would become a nuisance to other property owners.

3. The OP is talking about A CAT... it can be caught and turned in to the humane society. To me, the OP sounded like they just needed a BYCers *approval* to do what the hell they wanted to do in the first place, which was kill the cat.
