Official Squatch Watchers

:he drives me nuts.... :rant
I know! It has a similar cast of characters on there too.

If I had been greeted that way years ago I doubt that I would have stayed on BYC

There is another viscous thread going! A new member posted about a rooster killing hens and asked for help. The person is being told to kill her pet now. I suggested finding a rooster rescue which seems is being ignored.

What a way to welcome someone!

I would have recommended freezer camp too. Although I didn't see that it was an intro post until you mentioned it. Yeah, we often forget that we are talking to a newbie.

The idea of a rooster rescue sounds rather ridiculous to me.

I process them too and have no patience with roosters like that but also realize that I was raised with chickens. Mom would tell us to go pick a hen for dinner and we would with no hesitation.

I did not post like that on the thread though since I am well aware that 99% of us on Backyard Chickens do not have that mind set.

Rooster Rescue may sound ridiculous but there are so many on here that will not kill their pets. It is ridiculous to me to take a chicken to a vet too. Rooster Rescue is an option in those situations and I get the impression that the new member is not going to kill her pet. we look at them as farm animals that can be pets. Others treat them like a member of the Family

Of course the question was on the wrong forum but that is another issue too. There are a lot of post on the introduction forum that is not an introduction. I have moved quite a few of them, especially emergencies

I posted my best non death suggestions on there.

Lots of experienced folks were responding in a rather cold way.

I think its a case of to few hens for his first spring.

I much fear Maggie (the original Suzi) is a boy. She and Suzi the 2nd are my most friendly and inquisitive Seramas. They are two weeks old.

That little comb just popped outta nowhere today!!!
