There is a critter in our roof! Husband is undecided whether it is a chipmunk or a flying squirrel. So i bought rat traps and 2 sizes of live traps . Gonna git sum varmints!
We had one too, last week. It was a poor little mousie that my wussy hub made me go up and remove the trap, as he is afraid of dead animals (really. He's phobic. It's ridiculous).

Tis the season! For critters! :)

Smuvers has a mice problem!

LOL

Better her than me!
Woot!

I have mice but not in the coop. In the damn house!

Had a problem with the stove...hhhmmm. I also find dog food hidden in shoes not often worn. LOL
They don't get into the people food so i let it go.

I also have a red squirrel who likes to visit. Little bastard found the one opening that runs between the floors and to the plumbing stack. So it can go into the basement and all around. It has a cache of walnuts under the tub.

I made it back from my afternoon shopping trip. Bought myself a table saw at Lowes on Black Friday Special! And a bunch of assorted stuff here and there.
Oh joy, the cat just puked in the middle of the rug. Most of our place has bare wood floors, but no... she has to hit the carpet!

I caught a flying squirrels in a rat trap. One got loose, actually probably injured itself from pulling itself out and the other had a mangled foot. I DO NOT recommend them. Other than poison, which I do not recommend, because rotting animals smell awful, is an extremely tight wired small animal trap.
I doubt it is chipmunks. We get flying squirrels all the time.

We have seen grey squirrels and chipmunks but anything is possible. I can line the squirrel trap with hardware cloth. I once caught a flying squirrel in my hands. Didn't even try to bite me!

Hey All,

Just checking in for the first time since Thursday. I have 20 pages to catch up on and I'm exhausted. I love seeing all these people, but traveling and sleeping in unfamiliar beds is not so fun. especially when the bed is too soft and sags under you putting a kink in your lower back.

Missed you all!

Last trip at TSC, I bought a large, shallow hog pan, and I have been feeding the chicks out of it. Is that bad??? I have thought about getting a couple more to add more eating spots. Is that crazy thinking?
Well Sassy, that encourages them to jump into the pan and while there they will poop. Then they might peck at the poop. Ewwww!
