Good morning all!

Thanks but at this stage, it is unlikely for me to get more than 4-5 hours of uninterrupted sleep because my milk drinker still needs a feeding 2-3 times a night. Last night he was extra wiggly in his sleep which made it hard for me to stay asleep.
Were you asking me or @Anansi?
I was asking you Rae.

They're recent transplants... Aberdeen though.
I don't think there is an Aberdeen, Delaware. There is an Aberdeen, Maryland.

As far as farm animals, we just have chickens so far. We are looking into pigs or maybe goats next, but I'm kinda wary about goats. We also want to get a milk cow in the next couple of years. My mom has 2 horses.

We do have cats, but we are looking for new homes for them (2 indoor and 1 outdoor). The indoor cats are mine from before I got married. One of them has urinary tract issues and likes to pee on cardboard boxes and furniture. When I was single or before I had my kid, I could deal with the issues. But since having my kid, trying to renovate our house, taking care of the in-laws, the cats are confined to a linoleum lined bedroom. This isn't a good long term solution for us, or the cats. They are Bengals, I'm hoping to place them with a Bengal rescue. The outdoor cat, who adopted us, really wants to be an indoor cat but I'm allergic to her (not to the Bengals) and don't want any more indoor animals.

Oh yes? Interesting! Why are you wary about goats? I think they are wonderful and much easier to handle than cows. How old is your child? Mine are both adults, born in 1985 and 88.

I have mice but not in the coop. In the damn house!

Had a problem with the stove...hhhmmm. I also find dog food hidden in shoes not often worn. LOL
They don't get into the people food so i let it go.

I also have a red squirrel who likes to visit. Little bastard found the one opening that runs between the floors and to the plumbing stack. So it can go into the basement and all around. It has a cache of walnuts under the tub.

My sister caught a rat jumping out of her turtles tank. Went to start taking everything out and found the babies snuggling up to her turtles face!

Mainly because of how tenacious they are at escaping. Also, I've never met a goat that I've liked. The only ones I've met in person were spoiled brats whose behavior should have earned them a place in the freezer.

My son will be 17 months on the 1st. I was born in 1985.

That is too bad you never met a nice goat! It is true they love to escape but they never seem to go far. Mostly they want to get the good looking weeds on the other side of the fence. Mine all had names and responded when i called them. Did you know they have relationships with their grown offspring? My goat Nina protected her grandkids while her daughter was bearing them. She kicked all the other goats out of the barn!

You're right, I'm getting my family mixed up, lol! My mom and one sister (and my nephews, and the weirdo boyfriend) all live in MD. My niece (the one holding the chicken in the pic) lives in DE. I constantly am getting the two states mixed up!
