Just checking in for the first time since Thursday. I have 20 pages to catch up on and I'm exhausted. I love seeing all these people, but traveling and sleeping in unfamiliar beds is not so fun. especially when the bed is too soft and sags under you putting a kink in your lower back.

I feed the wet feed in dog food dishes. I don't think you are any nuttier then me @Sassysouth. ;)

I would really love to get my shop cleared of all the chicken gear. I cannot make anything in there with the brooder. Getting more birds this spring threw a kink in things. I had planned on one coop and one storage shed. I ended up running both coops as coops.


My neighbors probably get sick of the egg song coming from my yard lol.


It sounds like many of you had a few very busy days.

I am looking forward to pics of @Smuvers Farm projects.
If I had more land I would be in trouble!

@rjohns39 How are the breakfast meats doing?? Are they using their house?

No/No. As Cap said they'll stand in it, so I went to troughs and they stand in them too. Anything I hang gets knocked down or destroyed, so back to troughs. I have several and still need to add another 4'er.

We put more straw in the house, and they moved back in. They seem to be doing well and can be pretty funny.

Thanks but at this stage, it is unlikely for me to get more than 4-5 hours of uninterrupted sleep because my milk drinker still needs a feeding 2-3 times a night. Last night he was extra wiggly in his sleep which made it hard for me to stay asleep.

The only Lhasa Apsos I've know have been crazy hell-beasts. Apparently some of them have a tendency to go nuts as they get older.

My concern now is, the lining. The diy-er uses heavy duty aluminum foil. I like the idea cause it's very very inexpensive (CHEAP!!! I AM COMPLETELY CHEAP!!!), but I'd like to go for something a little more permanent....
