Official Squatch Watchers

Hey all, can you give me some advice?

I've put some of my chickens up for sale. Is $135 too much for a flock of 7 1 year old Buffs or 8 1 year old Delawares? I haven't gotten any bites. I may need to drop the price.
Maybe put a per bird price instead of a flock price.

It would depend on where you live. In the Silicon valley here you could easily get that much for them. Move up the State to Capay Valley and that would be too much.

around here $10 a laying hen, unless they are something unusual, is what they end up selling for.

Around me 1year old birds go for 15 to 20 a bird.

I think the price is fair. Just word it differently so they think they are getting a deal.
Maybe say.....

Buff Orpington laying hens in their first full season of laying $25 each or the whole flock of 7 for $135.

That way they don't feel locked into the whole flock.

I'd like to sell as a group, but I guess I could parcel them up if necessary.
