Official Squatch Watchers

I sold 4 out of 6 rabbits i took to the swap, and the wooden egg carrier i took. I bought a male lionhead, because i have a doe old enough to breed and my other buck is still a baby.
I bought quail eggs from 2 people, really good prices but not nice big eggs like my James Marie quail hatched from. I figure hatch and sell.
Also bought an LG incubator cheap, and CCL eggs, i made her an offer but she didn't take it until the swap was almost over. I have one dozen already incubating.

After more research, the goose egg needs slightly cooler temps, 37.3* c instead of 37.5. Only working in celcius bc all of my thermometers are. Candle pics!

Evening Squatchers! Hope you are all having a fantastic weekend. I am exhausted! My whole family came over today to see the baby chicks. We had a blast! I discovered earlier this morning that a few of my chickens had made a nest in a tricky to reach spot in the yard. So this afternoon I asked my nephews to help me “find” the super secret nest and figure out a way to collect the “stink bomb eggs” (seriously one of the eggs is unmistakably from a hen I gave away almost 2 months ago!) The kids were so excited! My 2 year old Niece was happy to collect the nice fresh eggs from the nest box and put them in a carton to take home. Everyone fed and petted my hens (who will now need a diet they got fed so many treats) and ohhed and awwed over mama and the babies. And bonus! The kids got to go to the drive up dairy stand near my house and get chocolate milk.

Oh, and the kids named the chicks for me: chickadee, peep, and rooster :D

Oh wow! That sounds like such a nice day... it’ll become part of the family story.
