Raccoons that are habituated to humans are the scariest.

Could be rabid! You could call the game warden, they should get rid of it.

Just saw a small coon hauling taters out of the yard. The little chickens alerted their butts off while the bigger ones did squat. I think the littles were chasing the thing! If this batch makes it to adulthood it will be a miracle.

Get yourself a trap and put a slightly open can of cat food or tuna in it. When you catch it just toss the whole trap in a pond or creek heck even a pool. Come back tomorrow to empty the trap and reset it

Unfortunately, I had to cull the last baby.

I ended up pulling its top half out of the shell and it still didn't kick free after a couple hours. I carefully dumped it from the bottom half of the shell and I found it had several loops of intestine (at least 6 inches) still outside its body.

Nicole, the one we thouht had a laying disorder. I'm bathing her right now with epsom salts. Hoping I can drown/kill(cuz of the salt???) some of them.
