@apryl29 Good news about your daughter, and it's about time she had something go right for her. Hopefully she can stay off the headache meds, and doesn't have other issues pop up. No kid deserves to have health issues, but it's a blessing when they can get better and be a kid like they want to be.

:hugs:hugs:hugs:love:love:love to everyone, and have a good Friday, and stay safe and weather savvy. Pay attention to the news or weather stations cuz about 65 million are in the path of the storms that set tornadoes down in Iowa yesterday. Stay hydrated, and cool if you can.

Poor Early is in chicken jail, well not jail but he is shut in the run so everybody can get some peace. I will let him out a few hours before roostime. I feel bad for the guy but he's just full tilt horndoggin, and the girls are not amused. He's got food, water, shade, a decent amount of space and he can see everything so i'm not doing him too dirty. Had to be done though, he wouldn't chill.:caf

This is why all my cockerels are in their own run away from the pullets. The funny thing is, the boss of the pen is my New Hampshire Rooster. But his deputy is the smallest splash BC/CO cockerel. He is the one breaking up the fights and keeping the older Standard Cochin Cockerels from trying to mate the younger boys.

Oct 2016 I hatched 3cx mix roos. 2017 I used one for breeding in one coop and the other 2 were in with their father in the main coop. Every morning I would lock them up. they got so they would go right to the old dog runs when i brought out the food. They want out after they eat but they are in the shade,

I put up with that hormonal foolishness yesterday mainly because he started late but he was just being a jerk to everybody. Let them out this morning and he wanted to run hens like a big boy so in the run his scrawny butt went. His brother is still out and about, but he has sense he runs from the girls. Putting Early up really seems to have pleased everybody, except Early. But like I said he's not happy but he isn't suffering.:)

Lol,the hens just keep going by and looking at Early. He's getting visitors at least. Negan goes and clucks at him now and then but it is usually when i'm giving jailbird some worms so I think its more of a "heeey i"m a butthole too, where's mine?":gigEverybody roosts around 8 so i'm thinking let him out at 5 for dinner. If he acts badly I will have to put him back in the clink.

Well, I checked in to the RN program at the local college. They told me I need to have a nursing assistant certification. :he Granted it's only 4 weeks, but at least half to 2/3rds is stuff I do in my current career as a medical assistant. It's also slightly frustrating because it's not just a lateral step, it's also a step backwards. I really don't want to have to spend 4 eons doing it, as it's more money that I really would rather not spend, but it also seems I have no choice. The part that is different from my current job description is the helping with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, feeding, preventive actions so the patient doesn't get bed sores, etc. I did work in the capacity of a nursing assistant when I was in the military, but that was in the 90s, so I doubt they would count it. Just, grrrrr, I wish they would have a couple 1 day clinicals for just the daily living stuff, then I wouldn't have to deal with the stuff I've already done. It bites to have to deal with this when I have over 8 yrs of experience in patient care, but it's better than all the hoops the other college wants you to jump through, plus my bipolar disorder would cause problems with getting in to that one. :smack to that program. It's just :rantthat I have to go through 4 weeks of stuff that will mostly be a repeat, and time and money that could be better spent someplace else. :he

Rant over, hope everyone is having a great day.

I'm snuggled up with a 9 pound clingon with abandonment issues. He was found on the street, and prefers to be in physical contact with family whenever possible. He also makes a good billy goat. He is very loving, and very much loved. I'll get up again in a few minutes to get some other stuff done, I'm just enjoying the snuggle. :love
