From the pics I found on google it doesn't match. All the ones I saw had serrated leaves or pointy leaves. The plant looks like chokecherry to me. Also noticed my legs look huge! All muscle folks...I swear.![]()
I have a fan in my coop, blowing in. It really helps b/c the wind comes from the wrong direction so there's no cross breeze.I have a box fan in the barn and one in the chicken coop. No power out to the turkey coop or guinea hoop coop. I rolled up the side so air blows in.
Welcome to my world. Early is your Odin. Best of luck to you. I have Odin in a 4x8 pen all on his own. I feel bad for not letting him out, but the last time I did he was acting like a turdface still.Soooo how did it turn out?
Early is still among the living. He still can't behave worth a doo but he's spending his day in the run and still being treated very well until I can find someone who will eat him or just wants to constantly fight a randy chicken.![]()
My gma was always cold too. Do you think he'd use a Snuggie? It's nicer than a blanket b/c you can still use your arms.As you all know DH has been out of town visiting his father this week.
His dad is cold all the time and the compromise they reached was that DH would dress his dad in flannel pajamas and close the AC vent in his bedroom PLUS lay a folded bath towel over it.
His dad said he could turn the AC on AT NIGHT if he set it on 80. (But not at all in the daytime).
Yes.
EIGHT-EE HOT DEGREES.
DH has been sleeping on a couch, sweating all week.
He’s coming home today. Flight gets in at 2.
Last night he called me from the rental car - he wasn’t going anywhere. He’d already put his dad to bed. He said he just came out to the parking lot to cool off a little and was sitting there with the car AC blowing full tilt.
He said “Dig out your sweaters because when I get home I’m CRANKING our AC until my teeth chatter.”
Sooooooo......
When I got up this morning the AC had died overnight.
Put a call in to my AC guy.
I can’t believe he actually returned my call on a Sunday!
He said he’d “swing by and take a look after church”.
Can we all just take a minute?
Let us pray...
Must be an Ohio thing. I tried looking at Ohio plants, but it didn't come up w/ anything that I could find.I have the exact same plant on my property. I’ve been told it’s one of those 2 plants. I don’t think mine looks like either of those either but close.
None of the trees I've seen it on had them in big clusters like I'm seeing in the photos online.Poke berry doesn't have a woody stem. And elderberry flowers in clusters like queen anne's lace and the berries form on those clusters.
Interesting. It'd be nice to get rid of the unwanted rooster problem, but if it was easy I'm sure mass production places would have found it by now.So I was thinking about the age old problem of hatching roosters no one wants. I know there are lots of old wives tales about which eggs contain a female but I was wondering if anyone ever studied the ratio of male to female a hen produced.
I know hatcheries have no idea what hen layed what egg but a much smaller operation could monitor that.
My thinking is that in humans there seem to be men who generally produce more of one sex offspring. (My BIL is 4/4 on girls) With the hen being the one who determines chick sex are there hens that have a tendency to produce more females?
