That's the only picture I have. :he
I'm going to have to take a chainsaw to all the brush around it. Then see what the damage really is. The bottom of the overhead door is visible. It's the right side of the roof that's gone. Trusses are still there but nothing else.
Be careful and watch out for bees/ hornets/ stingy things. You could designate a burn pile area and get yourself some good wood ash for the birds too. Just don't make the fire too big and make sure you're not burning any poison ivy.

As for the crap in the house, go through it, toss the trash and have a yard sale or at least post anything that's seems of value on the buy sell trade sites. If you have to deal with it, you might as well make some $$ off it.

Awwww.

@apryl29 I'm hoping to be able to clear the brush fairly easily. Most of the trees aren't super close and would be nice a cover for the chickens.

The daughter who's been living in the house is having another estate sale this weekend. I can't imagine trying to go through my childhood home and parents personal items. There are some things I wouldn't care if she left. Others, giant old couch, not so much. I'm going to do a little research about places to donate that pick up. I don't want to try and haul anything.

Ohhh I thought you meant they were already out and left all that stuff behind. Hopefully you won't have much junk to deal with then.
The trees are nice cover, but just removing the brush and saplings will give you a pile to burn. It looks like they might already have a burn pile there, but you never know what they've put in it, so if you do burn stuff, use a new spot.

TGIF :ya :ya

My dog will sit (for hours!) and STARE at food left on a plate. He won’t usually try to take it, but he will whine and nudge closer and closer. I’m sure he would eventually go for it if given the chance. Lol

Hey Nunny, how far is this house from where you are now? Is it going to be a tough whole-house-at-once move? Or a gradual back and forth bunch of trips?

One time, we had pizza delivery and one of our dogs (a long haired Dachshund) barked at the front door like someone was there. My mom put her plate down on the coffee table and went to check the door. The dog ran back in and snatched my mom's pizza off her plate and hid under the couch to eat it.

Smart dog! :gig

Sure!
Cooper and your dog could entertain each other. We could chat.
Cooper is a terrible thief.
He LIVES to counter surf. He’s so quick and is up there every time you turn your back!
he’ll go for anything too. Doesn’t have to be food.
Paper products are very high on the list of favorites.

He’ll even steal drinks.
So far he loves Coffee and Riesling best.
Not a fan of iced tea.
Have you tried mouse traps on the counter tops?

I am glad it's not just my goofy dog that is a tater.
He's quick too.

I have a ton of zucchini I better deal with today too. I will freeze some and break out the dehydrator for more. I don't think my shoulder could handle shredding it all.
:th

Monday Delilah goes in for her spaying. I hope it chills her tude some. I am NOT looking forward to an entire week of constant close monitoring of her.
Mine will spend much of next week outside so she stays calmer inside.
