I am GOOD at finding stuff, mainly because i'm EXCELLENT at loseing stuff! Hub's key had fallen into a little compartment on his jump start box he put in the back of the car in case it died on the trip. He was flipping out! Not me though, I was going to find that key.:lau

BLOODHOUND!
:gig:gig:gig:gig:gig:gig:gig
dang! Where were you when I misplaced my glasses tonight?!?

Here those old wood frame single pane windows are used by artists. They sell for big bucks.
They paint on the glass. It's actually pretty neat.
It just puts those windows out of normal peoples bracket/budget.

:woot For the found keys.
:wee

I made peach butter.
It came out freaking AMAZING!

I am making more tomorrow too. :drool

I have another fight on my hands tonight. Apparently, the Milk Drinker decided he wants nothing to do with his crib. Like last night, he fell asleep while nursing in our bed and he woke whenever I tried setting him down. Since I worked on Monday, I have tomorrow off, so I'm going to fight it out. Right now, he is in his crib listening to music from a kids noise maker. I'm not taking him out again until he sleeps in there for a while. I'm prepared to stay with it for as long as it takes. I'm not making the mistake of giving in again.

Whooo peach butter....:drool Won't be long and it will be muscadine jelly time, if I can beat the deer and chickens.:)

Well, after 1.5 hrs of fighting it, the Milk Drinker fell asleep in the crib without me having to pick him up. I had to reach through the bars and stroke his head (triggering "Baby of Mine" from Dumbo to play in my head) to get him to sleep, but it worked. Now, I'm shutting down my work computer for the weekend and heading to bed myself. Good night all.

All right, hang tough! Hope you have a great nights sleep.

My son had a spell of colic because the milk came out too forcefully from the "faucets."He had to gulp so fast to keep from drowning that he swallowed too much air. I had to call La Leche to find out - let it flow someplace till it slows down, then nurse. What did I know?
When he was nursing off one, the other was shooting to the ceiling like a fountain. Just one surprise after another. Family thought I was nuts-nursing - my mom especially
because she couldn't take over and give him a bottle. She also fought with me over the name I had chosen. She kept calling him something else- big fight over that too. I told her she had 3 kids and picked their names. I was not thrilled with mine. Our family communicated by arguing. I told her he was MY son, and I named him.

Smart kid, when he started talking in earnest, he said "I have two mothers. Grandma tries to be my mother too!" The only part she liked was that she got a grandson. My sister had two daughters.

What are muscadine? I like new and interesting things!
LOL now I feel silly. I looked it up. It's a variety of GRAPES! :gig
I don't know much bout grapes it appears. :lau

I miss goose berries. They make an interesting tart jelly. Man I don't miss the thorns though.
:th

nuuumy.... :drool I might grab a bushel from the Mennonite farm stand tomorrow. I think they're from NC.

I had to reduce the amount of sugar the recipe called for. It would have been way to sweet.
That made it not set like jam but good golly it tastes very peachy and summer like.

It's so worth it RJ! Get some of those yummy peaches!

Side note.....
I talked to my bee keeping neighbor about the tree spraying. He said if he had been told he could have kept his bees closed in too. He lost a colony this last winter too and is down to 2 now.
I think he is ok until they spray the trees in the back yard. Where his hives are the drift/overspray would hit the hives directly.
