Of course with a sudden death I get super paranoid. But this really is concerning.
View attachment 1515839 I saw him stumble a little and hock sit. There are some viney weeds growing so thought maybe while scratching, tangled up a toe. But I went and picked him up. Fought like hell and made a ruckus. So I put him down to watch him walk. He's a little unsteady. But mostly when he bends his head down. As soon as he went to peck at grass through the fence he wobbled and sat on his hocks.

Thoughts?
Parasites, either worms or lice, mites.

Not gonna lie.
Scaring the crap outta me.
Hate the way his tail is pointing so emphatically groundward.

Is this at the new place?
Is that straw they’re walking on? Where did it come from?
Did you spray anything, roundup...poison ivy killer...
Have a lawn service come by... are the viney things poisonous....

Just thinking out loud
Old house. Fresh cut grass. No chemicals. Viney things are some ground cover type weed.
The only thing different was when I gave them the spent mash from my BIL brewing. I threw out the rest of it. Even if that’s not what it was I’ll always be suspicious of it so I wouldn’t feed it to them.
Wondering if I should activated charcoal him? I have seen no sign of coccidiosis. Poos all look normal. I know without a microscope I can’t see everything but he really seemed fine till I noticed that this morning.

Good morning...:caf

NutriDrench? That is always like a miracle drug, for just about everything.

I'm pretty late on the spent mash bandwagon, apologies! But I used to home brew. And I don't think that would be very good for them. It is all grains and malt, which is basically pure sugar (it's very tasty, which the yeast then feeds on all that sugar, ferments it, and turns it into delicious beer). So basically, you would just be giving them a gigantic meal of pure sugar, which isn't good...

Worms then. Sounds like anemia. Is his comb bright?

Cappy thinks *everything* is worms, lol!

Could be viral...any sudden, neurologic-looking things always gets me thinking of Marek's or other viral diseases. I'm sorry Nunny, that would definitely freak me out! You're in the new place, right? Maybe do a soil check with your local extension? See if there's any toxins--lead, eetc.
