Well my sis and I pulled carpet and started getting wallpaper down. I found out I have a secret passage too! For some reason the front closet in the living room connects to the bedroom closet. LOL My dad and I talked about what trees around the coop need to come down and I found out there is a pear tree and plumb trees right there. There are two way overgrown apple trees. A mulberry tree and a surprise cherry tree.

On a sad note I lost my CC girl. She wasn’t herself for a few days and when I checked her she was covered in pin feathers. So I thought an early molter. Last night she was sleeping on the floor. When I checked on her this morning her crop was full. I massaged it a little and left for house work. I got back and she was slumped on the coop floor. I have her some oil and sat and massaged her crop some more. It was like dough. I noticed her butt was a little dirty so I though a warm salt bath would be good. Clean her up and maybe get things moving. While she soaked she pulled her head back and I saw it ticking. I knew she wasn’t right. I pulled her out of the water and held her. She made a strange honk noise, flapped her wings and died.
Everyone else seems fine. No idea....

Really good that you have fruit trees though.

For everyone who needs them.

I had a busy day, not only did we get the tomatoes cooking down, DH and I did some major major rearranging and cleaning up in our bedroom/office/sitting room. Yes, we currently have one that serves all those functions for DH, the Milk Drinker, and me. We have a second bedroom we need to clear out and remodel so we can use that as our bedroom and make the current room an office/living room. It has been a crazy day. I’m glad I was able to sleep in. Oh, and I found my contact lenses!!! I’m so happy! I need new glasses. My current ones are 4-5 years old and the MD has done a good job scratching them up. My contacts are a newer prescription.

Hi Nunny! I'm so sorry about your girl (what does CC mean? Cornish cross?) Don't beat yourself up though, totally not your fault, you know these guys just die for no apparent reason sometimes. At least she died in your arms and she knew she was loved at the very end....and you didn't have to do the deed yourself, which can be horrible. :hugs:hugs:hugs

I love your secret passage! That is too cool! Old houses are such fun to explore and reno, you never know what kind of surprises you are going to find...

CC was her name. She was one of the Swedish Flowers I hatched just last year.
She was CC cause her center toes on both feet curved to the center. I tried shoes with her and it worked but not all the way. So CC she became.
