PBM loved your rooster story :lau:gig Totally understand the whole "Family Visit" thing... Send some of that good Italian food this way...:drool I hate bland:sick

WV, Processing can be mentally draining if you over think it... Once you frame it as this is food for my family, it gets a lot easier.

It's ridiculous! Don't even get me started on the dreadful Christmas and Thanksgiving holidays, with the "lasagna course" (all full of gross, lamb-infested meat sauce, even though they all know I'm veg) and the "turkey course," etc. etc. And they are all little tiny people, and they eat like birds. I've never seen people waste more food.

I grew up poor and we didn't waste anything. They throw out leftovers, and I think it's sinful. Just sayin.'

RJ, if you--or any other Squatchers--lived by me, you would be all eating and drinking like pigs! I would love to feed y'all. Alas, none of you guys live out this way...

You are certainly very very busy lately. :hugs

I had to watch the video a few times to pick up his wonky run as stiffness.

I forget how old he is....... He looks young. maybe joint swelling.....

I love adblock... I forget how great it is until I try to look at something on my phone. Everyone complains about BYC having ads, but I don't see them so it's strange seeing them on my phone.
I love movie reviews.. it's so hard to tell what's good or not just from the blurb. I've watched a few bad ones recently that looked like they'd be decent.

Yeah, I wasn't about to let Loki have any more babies. We have too many and she just looked so sad. Plus w/ my luck I'd get more boys which I do NOT need. I just made a post on here hoping someone will take one of my boys. If I don't get any takers I'll toss them in the local paper. We have this one called 'Good News' that comes in the mail. I was going to put a post on that one website, but it's for show birds and I can't vouch for my quality of these boys.

Hmm Is it possible that he could have landed funny coming down from the roost and hurt it? With Jackie, it was obvious. She'd take a step w/ her left leg and immediately go down when she put weight on her right leg, repeat. She moved pretty quickly, but she'd sit down when she was eating, rather than standing like everyone else.
& I know what you mean! That was my entire June. I felt so bad... but it wouldn't have been so bad if Loki didn't keep knocking over her water. Plus I didn't realize til one of you guys were talking about yeast issues that one of my eggers was having problems. A few weeks on ACV and she's doing much better, but her butt was so gross the feathers were black. Honestly, another may have been having problems too. I kept passing it off as her getting muddy from dusting. SMH. I really shouldn't be trusted to care for these things. IDK what I'm doing.

Real quick before I leave the house yet again.

Poor little guy seems worse. They just turned 3 months. He was hiding in a nest box when I got home. I’m leaning towards wry neck or something Vitamin deficiency like that. When I have a moment to breath I’ll post new pictures.

But someone tell me wry neck treatment please....

Nutridrench is pretty much the only thing I’ve seen to work. :hugs

I gave him a good helping a straight Nutri Drench this morning.

What looks like a full crop on his left is actually his neck. It's bent at a sorta S curve and a little crooked. He can move his head around but he seems to leave his neck in that position. His left leg seems a little weak to me too. When I first picked him up it dangled. I thought it might be dislocated.
I'd like to treat him but I had no plans on keeping him. If I didn't give him away someone was going to raise him to butcher.... I feel bad but if that's the outcome is it worth it? :hit

He’s such a pretty fella. Sadly we can’t keep them all, so it may be more merciful to just put him down. :( feed your own family.
(I know, look who’s talking, but I’m psyching myself up for a rough weekend of culling)
