You should see them run and fly to see me! They are really neat birds. I still need to sell one or 2 males.
I went to a turkey farm ohhhhh about 23..24 years ago on a preschool field trip.
They family that owned the farm had it orchestrated so beautifully for the kids (and me lol)
When mr. Farmer called them they ALLLLLLLLL came running up over the hill like a thigh-high white wave of bird love.

:love:love:love:love:love:love:love

Of course this was just before thanksgiving break.

And the art projects that week were all turkey and thankfulness centered.

My son made his thanksgiving placemat which was laminated of course with a small farmer stick man, a huge turkey and the teachers handwriting that said:
Oliver is thankful that his family doesn’t eat turkeys for thanksgiving. They eat big chickens instead.
I am thankful for you Oliver! Love, Mrs. Coulson.

My sister was cooking at her house that year and we had to wink wink nudge nudge all the husbands all day about that 30 pound chicken so 4 year old Oliver wouldn’t cry.
Oh great times. :lau

I just found out I’m going to be a Nonna again. #3 for us.

First one is a granddaughter from my middle child... my step son. She’s 4 and a total hoot.

Second one is my only blood one, my son’s daughter. She’s 9 months old and puts the biggest smiles on my face.

Now my step-son’s girlfriend just found out she’s pregnant. Different mother from the first grand, thank goodness he dumped that crazy witch. :D

:wee
you are so fortunate (and lucky the crazy witch is gone) ! Cute babies, all of them.

I’m loving being a part of this “gang” and hearing about all your baby chicks !

I wish I could have more chickens but it’s just not feasible here. I live in fear that my crazy neighbor will call the HOA on me and then the po-po will roll up at my front door and tell me my girls have to go.
So chicken math for me has been the sad kind.
Subtraction. First we lost Margaret Tate and then poor “Broody Dory” had to go live with the librarian so she could fulfill her mama dreams. So I’m permanently stuck at 4 loved and spoiled rotten girls!

The other thing I enjoy are the human baby pictures.
My kids are growing/grown up but there are no grandkids in sight. I really get a lot of enjoyment from watching @RedHead Rae’s MD and @Hope Hughes babies growing!
I'm glad you get enjoyment from the MD.

I'm one of 5 kids and DH is one of 3. Only grandkid for either side. We are the only ones that are even thinking about having kids. I don't think that is going to change any time soon. But we plan on having at least 3-5 kids if we can. And we might foster/adopt when our kids are older.

No grand babies here either.

I have a grand puppy though. :D

She's sweet but can wear me out.

Sable ate her chicken and rice like it was the best thing ever. So far it's staying down. :yesss:
We are post meal 35 minutes.
:woot
Nice.

Sometimes. I HATE work.

I was told yesterday that one of my programs wanted us to do a build today and have it ready by working hours, Friday morning. Sure no problem. We get notice about 3 today that it would be ready by 8:30pm ..... ok, that is pushing it, but we can do it. I might get some sleep tonight. I take a nap. At 8:30pm, oh, it isn't coming until 10pm. At 9:30pm, oh, it isn't coming until 12:30am.

:barnie

I need ice cream.

At this point I hope they discover a problem that will prevent us from working the build tonight so I can sleep.

Just finished the quail feeder.

Me too Stacey.

I know a job that can demand middle of the sleeping hours would drive me over the edge. I really hope if Rae didn't get to sleep in she gets to take a nap.

Sable is looking like she feels pretty good this am. She went out half an hour ago and made a poop.....of nice quality. :lau
She is acting hungry, I gave her a tiny dog treat. I will fix her bland meal at 6:30.

Last night she ate a small amount of the big guy food too. I heard her crunching away at about 10.
No puking so far. :yesss:
