The chickens are similar to leghorns. They jump and fly very wellYou know none of these try to jump the fence? I don't think some could if they wanted to. Hobo was the only one that used to do it when I first got her she always wanted people so she'd hop it to get in the front yard. Since she's settled in though nobody even tries.![]()
Yes, I hatched fertile eggs from Trader Joes and Whole Foods a couple of NYD hatch a longs ago. They are the same thing but Whole foods uses a white egg laying rooster over brown egg laying hens. The hatch rate was very good!

I expected it to be low so I set a bit less than 4 dozen. Some were cracked. I hatched out 34 chicks!That is very cool!!
I would have thought the hatch rate would have been low.
