Good morning all and Rj:frow
I’m well stocked I think.
Only thing I’m regretting is that we are NOT boarded up.

It doesn’t matter now because plywood is in short supply, but I’ve been strongly divided on this with DH since this storm was confirmed as a problem for us.
His work has been grueling the past week -I get that.
And he’ll have to hit the ground running as soon as the storm passes because of his field.
I totally get that he felt that he couldn’t/didn’t want to do it but I wanted to hire someone to come do it fast and do it right. When I gave DH a ballpark figure his eyes bugged out just like our emoji here.
What can I say. He’s cheap.
His eyes will bug out even more when he sees what high winds can do. Maybe you can board up the windows on the side of the house that wil get the most impact. When we lived in FL we bought plywood and kept it in the garage in case we needed it. Never used it, seemed like the storm always turned. Stay safe!

Cappy! Wowza! I would have cried! I’m sorry
I’m wondering how it is this morning? Gonna be sore as the Dickins I bet.
It was bad last night, but i kept icing it and taking Benadyl and ibuprofen. Even put vinegar on it. Still felt like a needle sticking in my foot. Took Atarax and fell asleep.
This morning it is still swollen but not painful. I will live!:gig

Slid on my shoe to go work in the Shop and felt a poke. Took off my shoe but no splinter as i expected. BUT, my shoe is buzzing angrily!
Yeah i got stung by this insect that looks like a combo wasp and bee! Took a Benadryl, iced it for an hour while i worked. All swollen. So fun!
At least it was a bee and not a black widow!

I'm a woman on a mission!

Except I must say wet paper has given more resistance.

Just popping in for a second (this isn't scheduled computer time, but I figure if it's under a minute, it doesn't count)

Day 5 of the Great Eggsperiment!!!

There are FOUR spider babies now. Four! :wee

I pulled out my calendar and did some calculating. Those eggs are old, and cold! It's amazing....

Lafayette got sick around August 3rd. So those eggs can be up to 6 weeks old, and in the fridge for that long.

Based on the size, they are either Cemani--not Brahma--from the big coop.

Or, they are Cemani X Silkie.

The only other possibility is that they are Silkie eggs fertilized by Negan (Serama). Because the Silkie and Cemani eggs are almost impossible to tell apart.

This is all very eggciting, no matter what (if any) of them hatch!
