@casportpony will probably suggest Baytril.

Yes. Inside the egg was one totally normal yolk and white PLUS a huge horrifying glob of nasty. The glob thing was also attached to a little cord of tissue that extended outside the main egg and connected to a second tiny soft-shell or membrane. You can sort of see the tissue cord in this photo.This doesn't look like a regular lash egg to me.
This reminds me of a meat spot in an egg...why or how it would get this big is beyond me.
It was inside the shell right?

This is what I think it is...(for now)I have never seen something like this.
Let me dig.

I can start an emergency thread it that would help in any way....I just like to ask my friends about things first. And Squatchers (which includes you Kiki) are as good of friends as a chicken keeper can get
I have seen these before. But this thing was huge!This is what I think it is...(for now)

It looks like it's reproductive tract tissue. If I found that in a pea egg I would probably start that hen on Baytril just in case it was the start of an infection.@casportpony what in the world is this glob that was inside of this weird egg?
A huge meat spot?

You know me too well!Yes. There is a livestock clinic nearby that takes chickens...but it could take a few days to get her in. Should I wait for the vet, or start Baytril right away (assuming that is something TSC carries)?It looks like it's reproductive tract tissue. If I found that in a pea egg I would probably start that hen on Baytril just in case it was the start of an infection.
Is a vet an option?
