Looking for suggestions......I've recently added a very large run to my existing coop and run. ( 32x18). Harware cloth on all sides and the top as well as a 16 inch apron all around. I'd like to cover a portion to keep out rain and snow. I'm thinking just clear tarps for this year but not sure how to attach them. I also bought several rolls of shade cloth/fence cloth to put up on all sides to keep out wind and snow this winter Anyo e else tried this? If so ...how well did it work?.Any suggestions on how to tarp the top....I cant really climb across the top to do it Here are some pics of progress over the last few weeksView attachment 1552966 View attachment 1552967 View attachment 1552968 View attachment 1552969
Wow, impressive! I always use bungee cords to attach tarps. Tarps last better that way.

SNOW!!! Keep that weather to yourself.

Wow! I’m jealous. That looks fabulous. I know people use the clear roofing panels on the sides. I wonder if you could use them on the roof. Maybe add a 4x4 to the top of a support to raise one side a little.
Just brainstorming here.
You can use clear panels on the roof.

Here's my baby Serama. So cute!!!! (I can't remember if I posted this already, if I did, sorry, I'm going a little senile, lol!)

I think he's gonna be a boy....those baby Serama combs pop out pretty early.

Dayam, your setup is so gorgeous, I love it!!!!!!!!!!!

I am TOTALLY THRILLED for your PBB (Pitbullbyotch! lol) I know you are terribly deserving of the good karma coming your way.

JUST POPPING IN with a couple updates.

1. I'm still alive and kicking. Preparing for a trip to FL, leaving on the 6th EARLY. I will be doing all the driving as it is just my mom and me on this trip. Leaving Saturday, staying at a Motel 6 about 2/3rd of the way there, and then pull in to her house on Sunday around noon. Then she has a DRs appointment on Monday. Then another DRs appointment on Tuesday. Then she wants me to run her over to her friends houses to see them cause she doesn't want to inconvenience THEM while we are in town. (Lets not forget that during this time, she is supposed to be packing up her taters to bring up here to LIVE.... which means I'm gonna have to turn into Saggy Naggy to get her to get taters done.... OR have to do it myself. Man, I can't. The fibro, the new Prozac doseage, the foot*(info coming up), I literally cannot physically do it all by myself. Debating on trying to hire a day laborer through Craigslist but I know my mom will slip up and mention the house(ES, 2 of them), will be empty ll wnter and... I mean really, you can only trust a stranger so far. And no, no friends and no family excpet me.

2. The PIC and DH will be staying here to take care of the 4 mutts, 3 cats and chickunz. I have literally GAGGED at the sight of all the crapola they have bought to *junk food out* while I'm gone. I absolutely feel safe in believing that I will come home, walk through the front door, and find them in their white boxer briefs (now stained to hell and back with gawd knows what), plates of chips, dip, pizza rolls, cheesy pretzel bites, bowls of ramen, chicken nuggets, waffle fries, ice cream OUT THE BAZOOKA, ravioli, cookie crisp cereal.... sorry.... gotta stop.....:sick:sick:sick

3. My DR. upped my Prozac to 40 mgs starting on the 26th of Sept. As it did before, it makes me sleepy but I'll work through it. I kinda already feel happier though.

4. SAW THE FOOT DR TODAY @TexasSam. Xray and an ultrasound showed 2 things. I have a small calcium build up bone spur, but that's not what's contributing to the pain. Apparently, the fluid in your plantar fascia is normally in the 3mm-4mm range. Mine measured out at 9.4mm. SO, I received a cortisone shot (THE ONLY THING MORE PAINFUL I HAVE EVER FELT WAS AN EPIDURAL), and he wiggles the needle IN MY FOOT, like he's stirring a pot. :barnie:hit:barnie:hit The nurse kept saying *breath.breath* and I told her *I AM BREATHING! I'M JUST CONCENTRATING ON NOT MOVING AND NOT KICKING HIM IN THE FACE!!!*

So, I'm off my foot for 2 days, and yet I still have to pack the car for our trip. STDH is taking Fizzgig to have 2 tires replaced and a rotation done tomorrow at noon. Guess I'll get the small amount of clothing packed up. Taking a BUNCH of shelf stable food, cause my mom has a habit of all of a sudden *NEEDING* something to eat, and not snack stuff.... gotta go through an Arbys or Burger joint or something..... but I got her beat this time.

Hugs, kisses and ALL MY LOVE to you all. Miss you all like brazil nuts!

Smuvvie, I thought I sent a reply to this and I guess my stupid computer never sent it.

Anyway, you know I am thrilled to see you back!!!! Please take care of you, have a safe drive out to Florida, don't bite off more than you can chew, rest your foot as needed, try not to drive yourself crazy, and try to check in once in awhile!!!!

Love you sis! I hope your house isn't completely trashed when you return home, lol!

:love :hugs

Girl, I ordered them all.:)
OK, I just found the cheapest chicken diapers out there (ten bucks!). And they are cute.

Right??!!

So, did any of you guys ever get the Purina coop signs I just ordered? If so, do you like them? I can't wait to get mine!

I know, I really need to get a life. And a job (oh yeah! Just got one! It's solely to feed my sick chicken addiction, and the need to buy chicken-themed stuff that I totally don't need, lol)
