I hate that! They are real taterheads to heavy molters. She'll be much happier in the hospital coop untill she's a whole chicken again. I feel ya though, Tucks eats dinner in my lap if not she won't get a dang bite. They don't harass her but they aren't being nice either.

Just moved my poor little naked hen into the hospital coop. She has been hiding from the flock all day and tonight the cockerel was harassing her at roost time.
I thought about putting him in a coop by himself, but I want to make sure she is getting plenty of food and water. So into the little coop she went. Poor poor baby

It would only take one smirk for me to turn nasty. Nobody gets smirky when my animals need help, especially if it is your tatering job. If I ask a question all I better get is an answer!

I do have one bit of happy news on this dreary day. I got my first ever blue egg! The picture doesn’t do it justice. It is really a very pretty pale blue. Way to go Peep!

Well.....my hand is bruised and sore but improving every day. But now DH and I both have fevers,congestion and coughs . To top it all off I'm getting a whopper of a cold sore.

Sounds like you are both going to be miserable. Hope you guys get better soon.

I can hardly wait for my CL to lay. One of my Tolbunt Polish laid her first egg, and she is only about a month older than the CLs.

Thank you! I am so excited. I am really hoping mine will be good layers too. The lady I bought them from had a business selling colorful (and pricey!) eating eggs at a fancy farmers market, so egg quality and laying capabilities were the main focus of her breeding program. Although honestly I will love these girls no matter what. They are so cute and funny!

This girl is 24.5 weeks old! And I am still waiting for her sister to start! I was about to start lining the nest with hickory chips as a warning
