Good morning! One word to describe the weather brrrrrrrrr! Chickens might not get out until 8 i'm not in a hurry to run out and freeze to death.

My mom had a Singer Featherweight electric in the 50s. I think i still have it somewhere. It works, i have used it .

I have one too. It’s in my attic.

My teeth are still chattering. I’m not sure parts of my body will ever thaw. But almost all the roof is done.

I think seramas are tougher than their reputation!
Although I did notice 2 young silkied ones huddled together this morning, the rest were bouncing around like it was 80 degrees. I wish it was. Brrrrr not ready for these low temps. But supposed to get to 60 later today.

I wondered about my 2 silkied Seramas....my Serama rooster and one of the babies are silkied. They don't seen bothered by tbe cold but I have wondered if that would be a problem. Do they have down under the silkied feathers?
