Official Squatch Watchers

That’s bull. If they get anything from NCO, they can get any of their products. They may not be willing to get it regularly because they aren’t asked for it. I would call NCO and talk to them about the distributor you use. If it is an issue of not wanting to carry a product, maybe you can offer to pay a certain percentage up front to guarantee to them that you will get it. My mom said that she talked to the guy at NCO and they aren’t pleased with distributors that don’t take special orders of their more unusual feeds.
Well I did ask them back in September and I have gotten 36 bags from them since then.. so... they may be willing to listen when I show them

@FlyingNunFarm , you may be on to something Nunny Hunny.
Botulism causing spores can remain dormant in contaminated soil for years and germinate into toxin producing bacteria when a suitable nutrient source and an anaerobic environment are available. The toxin can also be found in maggots and litter beetles that feed on infected carcasses. Botulism is usually more common in the warmer months.

Conditions that favour the growth of this organism are found in decaying carcasses, and other decaying plant and animal matter, and in stagnant pools contaminated by rotting animal or plant material. When birds eat material containing the toxin, and if the toxin's dose is high enough, the characteristic signs of botulism will occur. Keep in mind this only metions carrion but it thrives on protein, be it animal or vegetable. :caf
@Auroradream26 I think had a couple bouts of botulism

I feel for you Rae you've got kids and now those super lice exsist. Hopefully you either homeschool and become a hermit forbidding your kiddos to touch strange hats or have another boy so you can just buzz cut, wash all the bedding and call it a day.;)
I’m homeschooling. The Milk Drinker already knows all his capital letters, by name and by sight, he can identify all his numbers, by name and sight, he can count up to 30 reliably and he isn’t even 2.5 yet. This boy is thirsty to learn and he would be bored to tears in school.

Hhhhmmmmm.....
I did have a terrible mud issue this year. I also started pushing the litter from the coop out into the run. It was fine at first but then when the weather turned it’s just gross. And of course they drink out of the filthy puddles instead of their clean waterer.

Funny but true! They're beautiful but iv'e yet to meet one that didn't bite me. Not curious bites either, full on peacock pecking machine. Either they really like me or they really don't.:gig
These ones are (so far) not human aggressive. Helps that it is usually just the ladies that come over. The big fella stays home
They love to terrorize the chickens though

Morbid question i'm sorry to even ask but did any of yours that passed have very, very, loose feathers once they died?

Good on you Rae, thats much better, and you won't have to fret about other crappy raised kids teaching him dumb stuff. Now keep him away from strange hats and you're good.:)
