My daughter made the mistake of bringing a bagel out with her. She sat it down wrapped in a napkin and turned to get her favorite chicken.. the bagel was gone. She complained about that for hours. She really should have known better. Any food that's close enough for their beak to touch becomes theirs.
*Sigh* going to get a storytime when hubs gets home. His mom has not been upfront about the condition of her rental property. Asked hubs to mow the lawn, he went grass is waist deep. There is trash everywhere, poops all through the house. She said she's evicting these renters because they don't pay on time i'm thinking she left out some other details.
Wait, who was mowing the yard before, the renters? I hope they don't do any more damage before they leave... maybe she needs to let the rental go and sell the property.
You know this will probably be on my tombstone right?
Mine will say "You cannot have a comma in an email address!!!!" though I'm going to be cremated... but I hope to some day be able to afford one of those raised coffins with little spaces where I can put everyone's ashes after they die so no one has to carry them around forever, then end up on the news when it's found at the dump.
PS My mother NEVER went on an escalator again, and although I will very reluctantly use one, her incident is always at the for front of my mind.
Then of course reading about the woman in China who was torn to smithereens by a malfunctioning escalator, didn't help at all. Nor the fact that it has happened often to others in China.There are 0 safety rules in effect. They have no fear of running out of people there.
Have you see the stories about people who step in to the elevator when the door opens, but don't look first and fall several stories to their death? I always check for the elevator now. I don't LIKE escalators much, but I have an irrational fear of stairs so I always feel like I'm going to fall off them. Kids running down stairs or escalators scares the hell out of me.

I am going to try and hit the grocery store early to avoid the worst of the crowds. I cannot believe we are nearing thanksgivivg.
I KNOW Thanksgiving is next week, but every time someone says it, or I realize it... It doesn't feel like it should be this soon.
Same here. I'm only up because the school called to say it was cancelled again lol. Back to sleep for as long as the kids and hubby will let me!
Jealous. My kids were hoping we'd get a snow/ice day, but nope. We didn't get a lot of snow, but the ice yesterday w/ the snow over night left us w/ a lot of down branches. Roads are better today than yesterday too. They're disappointed, but I guess they have many more future snow days coming.
