Official Squatch Watchers

Just a rambling but I have been having some problems lately with hawks. The good thing is my roosters are doing their job and keeping the girls safe. Two days ago one was on the ground trying to get past my bantam Hannibal. The following day they kept sounding the alarm and I thought I was going to have to lock them up for a few days until hawk went on. I decided to put some of my Halloween ornaments out back just the ones that looked like people you know a skeleton man, Frankenstein, a scarecrow, and a big fake wolf. So far no alarms and I haven't seen the hawk. I think I will move everything around tomorrow just so it all looks new and different
Oh Sam..... you're inventive too. :love

I haven't had a chance to get to the store to get any owls yet. Also what are cd's are those some old timers things View attachment 1205026 . I am going to the feed store tomorrow and possibly to Walmart if I'm feeling brave to get me some fake dogs and owls
Are you making fun of our age???:smackand here we thought you were perfection....:tongue

Nevah thought I would have to :smackmy sammie... yet here we are!!!

Jackass.

I didn't say old AOL start up discs... sheesh..... :gig

I think anything reflective would work, but CDs are pretty much everywhere and, if not, you could find some for free.
And to think we loved him......sheesh. Smuv we need to find someone new to swoon over. Sam is such a heartbreaker.

I suspect i have spinal stenosis. My hands and feet tingle and i have a couple bad discs too. Seems like everyone is falling apart. Nice to think about chickens instead.
I agree! I have arthritis and bulging discs in lower back and neck. Already had a hip replacement a couple years ago. I need a do over!

Never been hunting, but I've eaten deer twice. The first time it was delicious. The second time it tasted SO rancid I got sick. Person who shot, cleaned and cooked it said it was from the exact same deer. It put me off deer meat. Now I sit with a pretty nice sized deer roast in my freezer, courtesy of my neighbors, that I just can't bring myself to cook.

I've been fishing a butt ton of times and have only caught 3 very small fish.... all on the same trip and all from a stocked lake... pretty much couldn't have NOT caught a fish then. I didn't clean them very well and got maybe a single bite off each... but it was the first time I ever caught something so I damned sure was gonna eat it!

I also can't seem to grow anything either. I planted a garden in Nebraska, in Texas, in TN and something very small a lifetime ago in FL. The most that ever grew was a TON of zucchini in NE (it grew while I was away from my house for a week and my roommate didn't water it); 1 janky ass sugarbaby watermelon, along with some greens, in a $300 4ftx4ft raised bed garden in TX (which we planted on 3 separate occasions and had filled with organic much and dirt); I believe a small handful of radishes in FL, and not a damn thing in TN.

If I had to be self reliant, I would be at the mortuary on Little House on the Prairie. Or I'd be Nelly......
Living on Lake Erie we eat a lot of fish. Mainly perch and walleye and some catfish. I like deer meat if it's made into summer sausage. I've had frog legs, rabbit, rattlesnake, squirrel and earthworm burgers. Yes I said earthworm burgers. It was in a Biology class and we had a crazy but delightful teacher who loved to make " exotic" dishes. I believe we also had groundhog but couldn't be positive. It all basically tasted like weird chicken.
Also.....Nelly was my favorite character....such a little prairie b***h she was. Loved her

LMAO no need to treat the anxiety with kid gloves... I don't get all weirded out or paranoid... most of the time... this one is just an overthinking anxiety cause we have so much to do with so little time.... worried about getting my car up and running again, getting the chickens all sorted out, anxious about their waterers, etc etc... sometimes my brain doesn't shut off and then I can't sleep. :)

As for pain, I have Fibro... so it's usually back, hips, knees, feet and hands.
I suffer from panic attacks time to time and Xanax is a life saver. I feel your pain. Until you've suffered from panic or anxiety attacks, you just don't understand. I feel your pain Smuv
