Official Squatch Watchers

The second girl is a barred rock, the other one looks like mix, probably an EE.
I can see what you mean. Yes, that could be what chicken little is. Gertrude was the second chicken. She has a smaller comb then Chicken little has and a darker red color to it. The coloring pattern is different in them as well.

So IView attachment 1633661 have another question. I was told the other two were Barred Rocks. But they look different. Here's a picture. Do you think they are both barred rocks?View attachment 1633660

I agree that you have one Barred Rock.

I am not sure on your other bird but she is super pretty!

Her comb and leg color say to me she is not an EE but since EE are a mix I cannot say for sure.

Easter Egger. She may not lay blue/green eggs. She could also be an OE (Olive Egger) with her father being a Cream Legbar.
I kinda figured she wasn't the same as Gertrude. They are completely different in size and color patterns. They are only similar in the black and white colors. But she lays light brown eggs.

Some hatcheries are turning out some odd looking EEs without muffs or beards.

She's such an amazing girl. Gertrude is very standoffish and doesn't like being touched at all. Chicken little is loving and will come find me and likes to be pet and climbs all over me. Lol she's got a wonderful personality.

And you got her from TSC? I wonder if she is an oops chick. She could be a Barred Rock over a silver based white bird. Sometimes a bird of the wrong breed will get into a hatchery breeding pen.

Actually, the more I look at her, I think this is what happened. This is what my Dominique over Buff hen looked like. I think you would get a similar effect if you had a Barred Rock roo over a silver based white hen (like a white rock).
