Good morning only 5 pages to read... not too bad..,
Not sure what the temps are here in N. Florida but ducks pool had a thin layer of ice on the top... and frost everywhere, not like our house in Oklahoma water would be frozen soild. The wind there makes it way colder!!!​
 
Good morning everyone. It is a balmy 27 degrees here in WV. We have a light dusting of snow on the ground. Surprisingly, the chickens aren't that fussed by the white stuff. The almost 11 week old chicks are all huddled up with Mama but seem to be doing fine otherwise. We are getting ready to head to church, so I need to put on my boots and start up the car. Catch you all later!
 
@rjohns39 I am not a big turkey fan and have never cooked with ground chicken. Are there special recipes you use it for? And if you tell me to just replace ground beef :smack

I closed up the coop doors last night since we at Santa Ana force winds here in AL. I got up early (set the alarm) to go let them out. I need a shirt that says Only Chickens Can Get Me Out Of Bed Early.

@Anansi I am usually a few pages behind too, but I respond anyway. Who cares.

Off to get ready for the day, church and school band concert. I had a spontaneous nose bleed last night. 45 minutes!!! Dang cold weather and gas heat! And probably Celebrex since it wouldn’t stop. Which I will be skipping this morning. Bring out the Tylenol=worthless.

There are a few recipes, but no not the just swap for ground beef. The one that immediately pops to mind is white chicken chili. But I'll also use in in recipes that call for chunks of chicken or I'll make chicken meatballs for those recipes. Just gives you ways to use a tough old bird other than the traditional.
