...and ya know, this will get deleted too! Cuz it's against the rules (I saw it somewhere, ha!) to disagree with the mods....why I didn't say anything when my entire thread got shut down and scrubbed.

I hate censorship....just sayin'.:tongue

Sandusky is great in the summer....Cedar Point, the beaches, the Islands, boating, jet skiing etc. But it's hideous in the winter. Lol

All things need to be judged in context since rules, no matter how carefully written, aren't all purpose or fair in EVERY situation.

Those people I like to think of as the established medics on this site are incredibly passionate and dedicated people.

HOWEVER, those people who rushed in to that thread were not aware of the details of the situation. We were.
The original poster is an extremely intelligent, and mature sounding poster, but (sorry op of the thread in question) not a legal adult.

The thread was posted to get treatment information about the OP's pet chicken.

She asked a hypothetical question about "home" euthanasia vs letting the pet suffer.

I'm not interested in being bashed here or being confrontational.
This is a community about chickens etc but must embrace the diversity of styles of chicken keeping.

Therefore in my opinion, a conversation of "do-it-yourself pet chicken killing" is not one for adults to be having with children without their parents involved.
  1. You were protecting said poster from members unknowingly giving an emotionally distraught CHILD step by step instructions to kill her pet for god's sake!

    If you need anyone to give a secondary explaination highlighting the fluidity of the situation at that time and what an emergency it was to hold them off,
    PLEASE HAVE THEM CONTACT ME.
