I take stuff to Goodwill. Donated 2 housefulls of stuff when my Dad and Aunt died.
I used to use Goodwill and purple heart until I found out not much of the profits go to the cause.

If hubby didn't get rid of stuff i would need some of those storage units....and maybe a few tractor trailers!
That's where I am at LOL

I have snow on the way tomorrow night...on top of snow from last night

Well, we ended up taking Gurtrude to the vet because she wasn't eating and her abdomen was really firm. Turns out she has a broken shell in her reproductive system and had 378 mL of fluid in her abdomen. She's home with Ceftiofur/Naxcel and Meloxicam. Her regular vet isn't in till Wednesday, so I'll be talking to her then about getting her spayed in the next month or so. Until then we just remove the fluid as needed and give her her meds. It's a good thing that eggs aren't a requirement for room and board, she's such a sweetheart.

I’m sorry she’s having problems, but gosh she’s lucky to be your chicken.:hugs

Morning all. Hoping today finds everyone feeling better.

I am sitting here watching it snow and planning my garden.

I want to grow tall peas this time. Soooooo tired of crawling around to get peas from tiny plants. I grew telephone peas decades ago. So pretty and productive. So very hard to find now.
Burpee has a "magnolia blossom" pea that has an edible pod too......I might have to order some.
I’d love to grow some good and productive peas too!
Idk what’s with the seeds these days.
I tried fancy schmancy ones last year from a gorgeous catalogue and had the highest of hopes -total disappointment.

Morning everyone.

Anansi,
I am really hoping everything goes well for your sweet little hen. I am wondering if your vet will surgically spay or do the hormone implant things. :hugs

Stacey,
For peas your area planting time is probably now. Most pea varieties I can find are the short varieties. I want to grow for the freezer so am looking at snap peas. They have longer poss and some of them have edible pods even. I will let you know as the season progresses what varieties do what and how I planned if you want. I will plant some short plants and some tall.

Cappy!
You tease us with your flowers! We are 12° here this morning.
It will be almost 2 months before our crocus pop up.
