Official Squatch Watchers

Yes definitely not a good thing.

Turned out really pretty Cappy!

Ok so 20 chickens treated. Used the powder since it for colder than expected.
NOT FUN!
NO NOT FUN AT ALL!!

Of the 20 birds only 5 went without a fight. I got flogged by at least 4 Australorp. I think I wore more dust on me than they retained.

I really really prefer the spray!

I did not trim fluff or nails tonight. I wanted OUT of the dust cloud.

Speaking of dust cloud..... :woot For 11 Windows and a fan in the doorway!
:th

The good news is I do not have mites.
Thanks, it is a wedding gift.

Not good. I would have preferred she poked herself in the eye. Her and Clayton are now in my laundry room.

They are both snotty with runny eyes. :he I can see little bits of junk in her mouth, but not his. Their lungs sound fine. Everyone else looks ok. Jr seems a little off but from what I can see I don’t see any chicken boogers... I’ll have to tackle him later.
Researching now....

The girls here are being mean arses too Chicky.

One Australorp in particular is causing coop drama today. Running around starting fights, yelling for no reason and being a bossy butt.
:hmm

So far today Rudy the BSL, Crinkles and Crooky the Orpington sisters and Cinders the 4+ year old dark Brahma have already laid.
Crooky is the one that had mites. :(
That girl is such a trooper!

Today I want to move a low tunnel to the strawberry bed, get cardboard down in the big bed we moved and start getting that filled.
If I have time I need to get the really long bed ready to plant.

It looks like fowl pox or MG

Dawg said this about a similar looking chicken:

I'm glad they don't have wet pox. I looked closely at the photos you posted and I don't believe they have fowl pox. I suspect they possibly have a respiratory disease, probably Mycoplasma Gallisepticum (MG.) You can contact your local extension office and find out how to go about getting bloodwork taken from your sick chickens and tested for mycoplasma diseases. I also recommend that you take a fecal sample to a local vet and have it looked at under a microscope for worm oocysts.
