Had a house chicken while I ate breakfast.

With the torrential downpours we have been having my coop is getting soaked inside. I think sneaking in gaps I need to finish and soaking in through ground contact.
So today I decided to ozonate the coop to kill any nasties that could be lurking from all the moisture. All the birds must be locked out, and little Frannie is immediately picked on. So I grabbed her and brought her inside for a bit. I got her back outside in a relatively safe space by the rest of the flock.

Poor thing. Ugh.. I hope the ozone thing keeps your mold problem from coming back. And last I saw we're getting rain for the next several days. I'm loving the cooler weather, but the rain is getting old.

Morning folks :frow

Ended up with 71 in the box and 2 staying in the bator.

CSA they are gorgeous :love
Very nice! You pretty happy with your rate and overall spunkiness? :)

Ha on not so blind guy :rant:barnie:barnie
He had tried to get me to take him to stores and such during the day and I would ask what about the hawks? I took him eggs after dark a couple of times.
Sunday he called that he had been bit by something and had a toothache. He wanted to go to"Fresh Thyme" to get some tea tree oil and that they were open to 10 pm.
Big lost story on how all he had to eat was beans and no one would take him to the store and his sister wouldn't help him and blah blah blah. So I took him since I had never been there and had wanted to see there natural organic stuff.
He bought the tea tree oil and 2 pints of juice, they make the juice and mark when it was made and use by dates. I was wondering WTH if you have no food???? So it turns out he had 2+ dz eggs, I bought 4 more dz, Juice from the same place that had been made 4 DAYS EARLIER, and other foods in the frig.... so someone takes him to the store.
Oh and there was Lasagne his sister made a week ago, so she is helping out. :smack

He had a fight with his brother and then his son a while back. He said his son said he was lying about stuff, ya think :barnie
Oh and he "looked" at the bottle of tea tree oil like he was reading the itty bitty print that I can't read. He had a clerk, that he knows by name, go over the tea tree oil selection and give him the prices and when he looked at the bottle I am sure she was wondering why she had to read off the prices in big print.

I thought that store was expensive and had the same things the regular grocery store had.. even less..they didn't have goat yogurt and when asked they said the greek yogurt was goat milk... well no, greek is how it's make duh. :duc so the store was a bust.
AND THEN he said he needed batteries for his blood pressure machine and wanted to go to the dollar store, (store we were at didn't have batteries)... like the dollar store is going to be open Sunday night at 9:30 pm. So stopped at a different store, I ran in and left him in the car because he is so slow making a show that he can't see to walk. :smack
My goodness Mol, he's a handful! Honestly it sounds like he stirs the pot a little bit to keep his life interesting and keep visitors he likes coming to see him.
You've got a new pet my dear. ;)
Forgot the pictures. :he

I got this little cutie on clearance.

Most of the plants are salvaged from my butterfly garden. The hot pink penstemon should draw in lots of bees. :p

@oldhenlikesdogs it's getting there!
Ohhh, that is purdy! I feel like a lazy old sloth all of a sudden! :)
I love em already. Although of course they were the hardest to photograph. Stuck 8 wyandottes in the photo box and they all just stood there and looked cute. Derps screamed and ran in three different directions. DH laughed himself sick watching me try to herd them with one hand and hold the phone with the other.

Woohoo congrats on the successful hatch. That is a lot of babies

I did eventually succeed in getting a few drops in every chicks' mouth. It is just that along they way I also got it on their heads, and my hands, and my shirt, and all over my desk :idunno

It looks gorgeous already! Love the choice of flowers!

I have no idea  Sorry.

:yuckyuck

That is so cool!

Thanks! First time getting shipped chicks and I am so happy it turned out well even though the PO is full of taterheads. :D
Sounds like you received some fully functional baby derps! Enjoy this stage, it is the smartest they'll ever be.:lau

Well my morning started off derpy real derpy!
Opened the coop and Negan did his sloppy drunk superman jump off the roost and hit me square in the head!
I'm fine, he's O.K but it is so painfully obvious he's a pet, after he landed he just stood and waited looking dead at me.
I think he was waiting for a scolding, didn't happen.
I did give him a little bro hug, offered a bite of bread which he took. I figured if he eats he is fine.
Seriously I was worried about him hitting my rock head more than anything else.:p

What a silly boy!

I am happy to hear that he is ok

You are so polite and restrained in describing the ham handed treatment the Post Office gives anything. I ordered a new Dell once, big desktop, and sat in my office and watched them drop it over my gate, a 4' drop. Huge type "FRAGILE"! on every side. The Dell was so well packed it survived! You can believe I was checking it right away.

He's just clumsy, always has been.
He just reminds me how bad the issue is every now and then.:)
When I first moved the birds to the new house B Pudding took to flying at me in the morning when I would go out. I'd hear the distinct flapping of wings trying to launch a bird they shouldn't carry then she'd hit me with a thud. From at least 10 feet away. Give me the stink eye for not catching her and squawk and saunter off.
