Oh trust me I would have used an electric saw.... I don't have one.

Well I have a circular saw...not exactly what was needed for a verticle work surface.

I used a branch/tree saw. So big teeth that takes lots of material with each bite. Still not fun.

They were loving eating the saw dust. View attachment 1834910 It is so much brighter in there! And cooler!

I am betting you get some really nice airflow in there now too.

Whoo I have lumber! Thanks Henny, needed a kick in the brain.

I like using 1x2 lumber better than the washers. I found it to be more secure and no expensive washers needed.

Lots of booms here from the kids...m80's and such. Off and on lite drizzle.
In town the official fireworks start in about a half hour.

Our hail is done.

We are under a tornado watch til 10pm.

Very very very rarely one will hit 20 miles away.
We are tucked in very close to the mountains so not good for tornadoes.

Rained earlier in the evening, so boom booms didn't start until 15 minutes ago. AND on all four sides of me.
