Now they have more room in the coop and more butt space in the nests.

If Havoc hates them I will add a curtain.

Yes my back area is a bit of a disaster. When it cools off I will put it all away. :p

Can a pullet of ~5 months get splay leg?Her leg is stuck out to the side. I wonder if trying the rubber band brace thing would be worth a try. It seems like it's the hip area that's bothering her though, she screamed when I touched that area.

I tried to get a video but every time I try to upload them it says the file is too big. :(

I gave her 1/4 of a baby aspirin. We'll see if that helps~

Cindy, you have to load the video to youtube or vimeo and then paste the link here.

It it a surreal day for me, nearly seems like a dream.
I have my first brand new vacuum cleaner, yep out of a sealed box not just new to me only took 23 years.
Iv'e been expecting it for a week but kept quiet, didn't want to jinx it lol!
Hubs of course got it free, it was a work award but whatever, old one literally caught on fire so i'm not knocking how he got it.
It is a hoover wind tunnel 2 rewind and i'm literally afraid to use it due to how freaking long it would take to get another if I kill it.:gig
Make sure the brush roll stays clean and moves freely. Also check filters frequently. Those are the biggest vacuum killers. A air compressor to the filter will do it wonders. If not a stiff bristle brush or broom. Be careful banging the filters on anything, you can warp or break them. Don't use carpet powder either. That stuff should be called vacuum killer.

They can pop their hips out just a person. I read somewhere about someone holding the chicken by their bad leg and with it flailing the hip went back into place. I know that sounds awful but it may be the only way to get it back in.
Can you have her x-rayed? That would tell you for sure if it's something out of place or a break.
I'm so sorry. I hope you figure it out. When I get the chicken separation situation figured out I'll send you D'Uccle eggs.
